| I stg "Case Files is a bad mystery show" is the new "Shirou is a shounen protagonist". How many times does the series have to tell you to not try to solve the mystery and just enjoy the lore, characters, and spectacle of unraveling the magical truths? They even printed it on a t-shirt, goddammit. No, but seriously, what more should the series do to convey that it's NOT a detective mystery? It tells the audience over and over that the "who" and "how", the pillars of detective mysteries, are irrelevant. Swagernator said: Why would you watch it raw .. come on. Basically what Air said. CF having this sort of reception was inevitable the moment half of it's audience became people who don't even understand Nasuspeak - practically half the appeal of the show. People watched Moonlit Lostroom even when it was outlined for them by others not do that unless you're a FGOfag. And people not caring about Nasu lore is sometimes a prominent thing even among ''primaries''. |

I mean, Sanda pretty much said that he wanted a Nasuverse mystery in Kara no Kyoukai's style and with F/SN and F/Z (source materials, not anime of course) as the foundation. What gets me a bit miffed is not only the anime-onlies recommending Zero as the only prerequisite for watching it, and just the anime at that, before watching it or even knowing what it's about beyond the three lines of summary. Characters like Caules, Kairi and Olga aside, people had to freaking explain why Artoria retained her memories from the 4th to the 5th war.
