Is ridiculous. But it was still very good. - Vinland Saga is back and damn, that was a great. I knew Thors was going to die yet the episode was so well done it still made me feel anxious. |
| So... I've caught up to Kimitsu no Yaiba's latest manga chapter and I can tell you one thing for certain. This manga does NOT deserve half the amount of effort ufo (mostly Nozomu Abe) is putting in the adaptation. This is literally taking two 5/10 (at best) manga pages and turning them into a 10/10 sakuga scene. For no reason, even. It's not even a dramatic scene for Zenitsu or anything. Also, regarding the manga, this once again why hype should never be believed. KnY certainly doesn't get better as it goes on like people have been saying. It stays at the exact same level of mediocrity to the latest chapter. The only people I can see enjoying it are the people who don't know what actual great battle shounens are like. |

I mean I totally understand that part about normalfags praising KnY after watching the anime because Ufotable make it way more better than it is ( I'm not sure about that last part so I will just go with Astro statement ). |

| I mean, I can certainly find way more people who like Deku, who is certainly no Kiritsugu, than Shirou. Deku and Shirou are certainly different characters, but on the surface they're both heroic characters who don't shut up about wanting to be heroes and routinely destroy their bodies as price for acts of heroism. There will always be people who hate both Deku and Shirou, yet I don't find something similar to the sheer number of people who despise Shirou in MHA. Know what Deku has that Shirou doesn't? An adaptation that adequately explains his thought process. Let's not turn a blind eye to the fact that most VN readers like shirou, while most anime-onlies, even those who have never seen DEEN, don't. |

| I don't really think you need an adequate process explaining Shirou self. It's clearly implied that he's a damaged boy and he wants to make retribution for being alive despite considering he shouldn't have survived that fire. I mean, probably the VN expands it way more. But that's not the real reason of why people hate Shirou. It's because most of anime only, experienced Kiritsugu first and felt his character is more "realistic" due the circumstances and personal belief of edgy - dark = real. Even tho Shirou's past is pretty grim and he even had to lose the only one who saved him. People idealize characters who are heartless and analytic. They just never understand and won't understand Shirou struggle even if they try the VN, even if the adaptation puts lots of monologues, they will still think Shirou is a brat because he's not a heartless bastard that would sacrifice their beloved in exchange of success. |

But the point is that FSN will forever have this sort of reception, regardless of what you do, just because the general viewerbase is inherently more geared towards liking something like Zero. I think any kid who admired his father that much and witness his death would feel the same. Maybe not do that kind of reckless action like Thorfinn did ( Because you know, scenarios ) , but pretty much would grow having a grudge or being emotionally unstable. TL;DR He has good reasons. |
