| I say watch the dub, if you're gonna watch it at all. It is pretty lulzy cos it has too many English references and they all fail at saying them. And even in this last arc, they're in Japan, and they show the language difference but then just go back to talking in Japanese and everyone understands each other in certain scenes. I used to listen to the Gorillaz, before everyone though they were cool. |

But yeah, it lacked a point or just a punchline, basically it's a big messy circular narrative, but a circular has to lead somewhere that would make the viewer go all holy shit. Revealing the identity of the Rail Tracer halfway was enough to kill all the mystery and after that it totally lost its point and after that it was retailling in a totally bland and unsubtle way. |

| The maker really didn't get what was the point of a circular narrative, and all the messy flashbacks were just there to be cool. Everyone can tell a story in a messy way, you don't need to be a genius to do that. But leading somewhere and just giving a reason to all this mess is something that make a true masterpiece. |

| Ah, no. Never heard of it. It's been a while I haven't watched any movie :/ Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Maniola also have a circular narrative, if you want. And they are better than Baccano. |
