I don’t think you know what plot armour means… It’s when I character survives a situation that they should be dead by. Demon slayer has plot armour early on but that soon goes in the infinity castle arc and non of the harshira are safe. The concept wasn’t plot armour cause it literally sets a death date for them so there is no way it could be plot armour. It’s called a power up, most battle shounens have them. It’s a way to keep the world and the power system more interesting and engaging. I get where your coming from but your using the wrong phrasing.

Ofc the hashiras are the same as the demon moons. Some will be overpowered compared to the rest.

People overrate Muichirou a lot. Muichirou was talented and with time would have surpassed most of the Hashiras but he was not stronger than Rengoku and Giyuu.

Rengoku and Tengen held their own against much more powerful demons than Muichirou who lost to the weakest UM in a few seconds. He only won due to the sudden Mark power-up. Before that, he lost easily. Tengen was also stronger than Muichirou.

Ranking Hashiras is flawed. A tier system is better. And this tier list is BEFORE marks.

S+ Tier - Gyomei
S Tier - Sanemi, Rengoku, Giyuu
A+ Tier - Tengen, Mitsuri, Obanai
A Tier - Muichirou, Shinobu

yupe....then recarnation shit comes ...and thier marks become pretty useless....so marks just became power up.... super Saiyan concept was way better than this shit

I this hashira ranking many people are arguing between RENGOKU and GIYUU. Some people says that rengoku is stronger and some says giyuu. One who thinks that rengoku is stronger than giyuu, their reason = rengoku almost beat akaza and it to giyuu and tanjiro to beat akaza as per manga. THIS IS A VERY STUPID REASON.I think unmarked giyuu is stronger than rengoku. PROOF = IN MANGA WHEN AKAZA FIGHTS GIYUU AND TANJIRO THEN AKAZA FOUGHT THEM WITH INTENSION TO KILL THEM, SO HE FOUGHT THEM WITH HIS FULL POWER. WHILE AKAZA NEVER FOUGHT RENGOKU IN INTENSION TO KILL HIM, BECAUSE HE SAW THAT RENGOKU HAS A POTENTIAL TO BECOME A STRONG DEMON AND THAT'S WHY HE TRIED NOT TO KILL HIM IN WHOLE FIGHT AND HE ALSO TRIED TO CONVINCE RENGOKU TO BECOME A DEMON EVEN BEFORE AND DURING THE FIGHT. BECAUSE AKAZA KNEW THAT RENGOKU COULDN'T KILL HIM AND GIVE HIM A REAL FIGHT. IN MANGA/ANIME RENGOKUS MAIN STRENGTH WAS HIS ATTACKS AND GIYUUS MAIN STRENGTH WAS HIS DEFENCE, HERE AKAZA MANAGED TO BREAK at his 35% of strength RENGOKUS 9th form which was rengokus strongest attack. In manga AKAZA couldn't break giyuus 11th form which was giyuus strongest defence. Here AKAZA literally used his BLOOD DEMOM ART which is the strongest moves of every demon who has it, and giyuu managed to STOP UPPER MOON 3 FULL POWER BLOOD DEMON ART. Some people say that giyuu mangaed to do this all because he had tanjiro with him. JUST GO AND READ THAT VOLUME AGAIN, and come back and tell me how many times giyuu saved tanjiro while fighting akaza. In that almost first 80% of that fight tanjiro would have died almost 10-20 times and every time giyuu saved him while battling akaza also. Tanjiro helped giyuu also but at that whole fight tanjiro was literally a burden to giyuu. CONCLUSION = Rengoku couldn't survived akaza at akazas 30-35% power and akaza didn't intended to kill him that time and Giyuu survived akaza while akazas 100% power and also giyuu survived even when akaza literally intended to kill him.
