10 strongest characters in Gintama?

It's been a while since I've watched the show but here we go.

1. Kamui
2. Umibozu
3. Housen
4. Utsuro
5. Abuto
6. Takasugi
7. Gintoki
8. Sougo
9. Katsura
10. Kagura

I believe pure strength wise Kamui is first. He's younger then the rest of the Yato He's Probably in his prime. And the guy's a beast he lives for fighting.
I see a lot of the people rank Kagura pretty high but Sougo is at least her equal. For the entire anime they have been basically rivals. And if anything Sougo might be better. All the Damage Kagura Does to Kamui is because of Sougo and Kagura even admits to that. In a couple more years he will be Gin and Takasugi level. The kids a beast.

-Seriously given how much trouble Gintoki gave to Kamui despite how Housen Broly'd him in a gangbang fight, ain't no way Kamui is over Housen. Sure he has the Yato mode but Housen didn't even need to use it to mop the floor with Gintoki, Tsukuyo (injured) and fodder ninjas. I don't even want to imagine him bloodlusted...

-Gintoki is above Takasugi because he was exhausted of fighting DOZENS of Yatos prior to their fight yet still turned it into a draw, that's simple logic.

-Utsuro only won against baldy because of a cheap magical bullshit prep but he lost the fight itself so Umi is first.

-I kind of have a hard time placing Jirocho due to the various parameters when he fodderized Gintoki.

-I hesitated between Oboro and Sougo in last place. Despite his skills Sougo lacks a good chunk of the stamina guys like Gin, Hijikata and the Yato have to compete with the top dogs. However given how pathetic some of Oboro's deaths were I'm pretty sure Sougo would quickly get rid of him in a pure fight. Until Oboro gets back up because of his hax that is.

-I added Kouka on top without a proper rank because based on hype she's the real deal but she has no feats yet unfortunately

Upper 10: Kouka- Umi- Utsuro- Kamui- Hosen- Kagura- Abuto- Mutsu- Jirocho- Gintoki
Lower 10: Katsura & Takasugi, 3 Ominous Stars, Oboro, Jiraiya, Obi Hajime, Shimaru, Zenzou, Sougo, Sakamoto, Saigo

Kouka is the strongest cos she was a Yato and she was immortal, she tamed the Orochis, and survived alone on a dying planet. Umi done more damage to Utsuro during their battle so eventhough Utsuro is immortal Umibouzu's strength is way beyond his. Sakamoto used to be as strong as the rest of the Joui 4, but since the incident and his injury he couldn't fight very well anymore so have to put him a little lower than the rest of Joui 4.

Nah. Umi's an alien hunter for how many decades now, Kamui has only been fighting in order to surpass his dad. There's no doubt he'd be stronger than Umi as he grows up since he has both Umi and Kouka's blood but right now he's below his dad. Comparing Kagura to Sougo is crazy, they're not equal in strength, only in their rivalry, and for comical effect. Kagura is at least Hosen's equal, and it's not an over ranking, she's the offspring of an immortal Yato and and the strongest alien hunter in the universe. She seems weak and helpless in battle because she has to suppress her instinct in order to adapt. Sougo went into a coma after a 5mins death match with Kamui apart from that he mainly just fights criminals. Kagura is 14, besides fighting Kamui on equal footing she's fought aliens and beasts on her own without any weapon, so be real.

The fact that he had to surrender to his Yato instinct shows that all the while he'd been fighting Kagura and Gintoki he was suppressing his instinct at the same time. Sure when Hosen fought Gintoki he never had to go berserk like Kamui, but maybe because he was already full on Yato, he had nothing to protect anyway. Of course there's no telling for sure, but no matter how many Hosen was up against merely humans, Kamui before he fought Gin was already fighting 2 strong Yatos, had to fight non stop, and even then, right before he went berserk, Gintoki was already at his limit, and probably would've died if Kagura hadn't stop Kamui.

Normal Kagura and Kagura using her Yato instinct are one and the same character. people like to separate the two, but the Yato instinct is not a weapon, it's a natural desire to fight in order to survive. Even the samurais have it, like when Gintoki go all Shiroyasha when fighting undestructable monsters like Hosen and Kamui, only difference is the Yato lose their sanity and rationality when they pull out all the stops. Kagura at her best can stand up to Hosen, who Gintoki couldn't beat, Abuto himself said that, and he should know cos he was the one who got wrecked by her, not you luls. So yeah Kagura> Gintoki, and it's not overrated to say so, just simple logic.

It is a big deal for a 14 year old to outdo a war veteran. true she's not that skilled at fighting and only have super strength, since she's still just a child. in BFY you can see she's outstanding in battlefield. Anyway the thread is about who's stronger not who's the better fighter.

So all the replies here are before rakuyou decisive batte. If we are talking now, then zura is equally strong as gintoki and stronger than other human characters including takasugi except the guy never takes anything seriously.
