| Confession successful, but at what cost... and to what effect? I'm just annoyed at the writer for doing this over 9 episodes, and there's still some ways to go. There's teasing, and then there's this. I don't think Sawako said 2 complete sentences to Kazehaya this entire season, until this episode. Then the writer dares to stop Kazehaya from responding, after all that?! This is actually hurting the show in other ways, too. Season 1 often followed other characters' stories, like Chizu's crush on Ryu's brother and Kurumi's crush on Kazehaya. They added variety to the show and made these characters real and likeable. Now, the entire cast is sucked into this vortex of denseness that nobody has any time for anything else. It makes me care less about these two getting together. I just want this over and done with so I can put this behind me. I can actually understand Sawako as a character. But that doesn't make this fun to watch. And she's constantly backsliding, forgetting what she learned and not really seeing what's happening. At this point even Pin is doing more for the show, and I've always disliked him. Pin awkwardly responding to "I can only look at Kazehaya with impure intentions" with a "good for you, I guess" made me laugh. |
