The fight was nice—that said, this made me appreciate madhouse and the 2011 version way more.

Something kind of pissed me off about the conversation Gon and Hisaka had in the ring about Nen [at the beginning of the episode]. It’s that, it was completely audible to Killua, the Master, and the eyebrow kid. Even in the midst of all that yelling and cheering from the audience. Gon and Hisaka were having a quiet conversation far away and yet Killua from the stands could hear every word of their conversation. As unrealistic and distracting as this fact is, what’s worse is that Nen is supposed to be kind of secret, isn’t it? After all, someone in a famous, prestigious family like Killua didn’t even know what Nen was beforehand. And yet, if Killua can hear Gon’s Nen-related conversation from the stands, then literally every other person in the audience can to… probably potential fighters and combatants. Meaning Hisaka is carelessly revealing information to everyone in the stadium. And yet… I also feel like the female commentator isn’t going to pick up on any of this conversation, despite being even closer to the action. This is all what I’d call a fucking plothole.

Also, are stone tiles even allowed to be kicked up into the crowd? I know there are no rules to the nature of the fight, but how can a stadium like that be legal when it’s hazardous to the spectators? Unless each audience member signed a liability waver? Furthermore, the potentiality for the crowd to get injured would be a risk for the business’ revenue. At the VERY least, make it so a fighter gets penalized if they fling any projectiles outside of the ring.

6:28 Did anyone else notice that distinct clicking noise as Gon rolled around on the floor? Like his spine breaking or something lmfao

That analysis of Hisoka and Kastro was very helpful, this guy Wing is a really good teacher, I wonder how strong he is. Well, that fight was awesome, Hisoka getting excited/horny while receiving punches and kicks, showing his true fighting style, Gon needed to improvise and that final hit with the debris. Here’s were the Phantom Troupe enter, and this movement is gonna involve Kurapika, I think, for what we saw, Hisoka is not a real member, he just wants something.

Ah so I got the order messed up. The Kastro video analysis does exist in this version. Its pretty short though. I remember it being more thorough and really breaking down how Hisoka used his powers and what Kastro was doing beyond Killua just saying it and that being that.
