The only reason why they should kill their own team mate is because they feared that he might start attacking mafia members at day, or even talk against mafia because he doesn't know his team mates. Actually, we can't really rely on the cop and the mechanics anymore at this stage. There are only four ennemies left, with two of them being investigation proof.

Actually, the jester being alive is the only issue that prevents us from a more or less successful role-claiming scenario where everyone who doesn't roleclaim is immediately suspicious. That's why if either the cop or the mechanic have found who the jester is, they should reveal sooner rather than later so we can plan to role-claim.

Soren would have told us if one of these two was inactive, so I guess either they let some useful information somewhere or they still haven't found anything relevant so far. And the Informant probably didn't get to receive any information before dying so we can't count on that. However, if he did, we may have a lead based on his last vote.

I think I'm gonna re-read some pages of the thread at some point, in case we missed anything.
