| Final episode of Fall 2006, basically one cour down, it’s been a really good time so far, I’m excited to see what 2007 brings for this show. And wow, my mind was blown very similarly to L and Light’s here, their reactions were golden lol. L is panicking about the existence of Shinigami and the mention of the eyes, and Light is panicking about the fact that this Second Kira is a dumbass, made me legit laugh out loud, Misa has shaken things up big time. It also just makes this collaborative investigation between L and Light so much more interesting, it’s like they’re on the same side but at the same time they’re not, it’s so cool man. And that story about Gelus and how Misa got the death note was also interesting, so Shinigami misusing the death note can get them killed, and with Gelus specifically it was because he fell in love with a human woman, being Misa, and saved her from her set death time. I feel like this will play a role in the story eventually, no way they tell us how to kill a Shinigami and we don’t see it in play lol, but for now it’s just cool to know it can happen, and also makes Misa’s character that much more in depth, she’s not like Light who just happened across the death note, she’s basically its rightful owner, and also the fact she’s someone who was supposed to have died already is very metal. I also wonder if her having gained the lifespan of a Shinigami, does that mean her getting the eyes will barely shorten her life at all? Not sure lol, and I also can’t say for sure if I like Misa or not, but I do like what she’s brought to the show so far. |
