| My girlfriend and some of my friends tease me about it occasionally. They think anime is dumb. I don't let that stop me from watching it or letting them know I watch it. |
| I don't feel embarrassed watching any type of anime, even ecchi genres. A lot of live action TV includes at least one softcore scene, so why would you feel embarrassed about it in anime? |

| I was never embarrassed people sometimes found it creepy but I'm like watch EF or something and they usually eat their words... and the people who hate it but understand why or accept that I do are still my friends but if they still find it creepy I stop talking to them because I hate people who are blind to me not giving a fuck what they think... lol |

| I've never been embarrassed though it pisses me off when other family members harass me when I'm watching subbed anime, they're usually like "Stop watching Sailor Moon" or something really stupid because that's the only anime they know. Besides that I have a small group of friends that talk about anime and the likes. |

| I'm only embarrassed about it when people I don't like find out about it and make crude jokes about it forever and ever. I've had too many experiences like that when I was younger. While I'm not embarrassed about watching anime in front of people I know, I'm afraid to show it to people who may jump to conclusions about it and question my motives for watching certain shows. My sister caught me watching episode 2 of Gravitation once when I was 14, and she was kinda put off by the fact that the main characters were gay and told me to stop watching it (though she only wanted to kick me out of the living room so she could watch something). |

| I wouldn't say I'm embarrassed, but it's something I'm not comfortable talking about to others, cause they often make the assumption that I'm all like "OMG KAWAII NEKO MEOW", which is not the imagine I want people to have of me. So unless I know the person really well, I try not to mention it too much to others. |

Before that I used to think that people who were into anime were just nerds, but then a few of my friends started talking about Cowboy Bebop. So to not feel left out I decided to watch it, and I've been watching anime ever since. |

| been watching anime growing up since I was 3 years old... it's looked down upon in some cultures, but why give a fuck? It's just another form of entertainment. But when you start collecting all kinds of anime franchises and excessively use cringeworthy Japanese terms when talking normally to other people without a gist of embarrassment, then you're pretty much passed the point of no return as an outcast in today's society. |

| One of the reasons I started watching anime is that not many people here do. If watching anime were mainstream where I live, I probably wouldn't have watched it. So yeah, you really shouldn't care what people think. |
