From the contents in your quote, it seems that they are going to put both the TV broadcast version and the "long vacation edition" of ep.1 in the disc. Must be a new and innovative way to boost sales of vol.1 !! |

| The DVD is listed as 70 minutes long so that is enough time for 40 minute extended version, 24 minute regular version, non-credit ED, PV and CM. Also comes with event ticket, character song CD "Beautiful Sky Houki Solo Version", and a 28 page booklet! If that doesn't boost a cheap volume 1, I don't know what will!!! |
| In fact most of the time the full capacity of the DVD/BD is not used for those anime release LOL I am sure they can cram 4 episodes in one DVD and it still leave enough space for the non-credit OP/ED, PVs and CMs X-D |

| The R1 releases are proof of that! They put entire seasons on a few discs. And Mouretsu Space Pirates put 4 episodes per disc for the last 6 discs, disc 1 had 2 episodes and a couple hours of event footage; 26 episodes on 7 discs! Hear that Monogatari SS 25 episodes on 12 discs and Gin no Saji/Silver Spoon 22 episodes on 12 discs, Aniplex?!?!?! |

The Chihayafuru 2 boxes have 4 discs each with 3 episodes/disc (4 for the disc with the episode 16 recap) which still gives you the best quality images and sound. Bakemonogatari somehow gave us hope with 6 discs and 15 episodes and Nise 5 discs for 11 episodes (not six discs like Silver Spoon). Silver Spoon, 6 discs for 11 episodes in cour 1 is just too much... not sure if that has anything to do with the lowish sales figures. |

BD Have I said "Go Symphogear!!!" too many times already? My copy should arrive today!*30 **1 **2 **3 **4 **5 **6 週 *** **1 **3 **2 **2 **2 **4 | -- | SymphogearG 1 And a funny thing, the Symphogear G ED CD has a cover of Memory by Webber Andrew Lloyd (sic) that makes me want to watch Cats now LOL! Ayahi Takagaki's English singing is really well done! Strange choice for a 3rd single on the album but it is nice so I'm not complaining. The anime 'size' ED which also has the special anime-only intro is awesome too, so glad they included that instead of a karaoke version. And it's here! And the OST CD1 is worth the price alone, OMG, so good! This really is a musical anime perhaps more than it is an anime with a soundtrack! |

| ^ Interesting, Takigaki Ayahi's (following the convention of "Webber Andrew Lloyd" with surname coming first) character is supposed to be a foreigner so she singing English songs should be expected X-D Anyway, just counting the 10 singles released and the total sales are >250,000 according to Oricon. Very well done. And I can imagine the OST CD must be good too. (by comparison, total sales of all Free! singles is about 200,000) And so we are going to see 2nd week number even on the preliminary list coming out later today for Shingeki, Love Live, KinMosa and JoJo (and perhaps a few others). Amazing. |

| Sorry for the bumping as I have new info to update. Here is the quick result of this week BD sales ranking. The full details of everything will be posted in a new thread later. The key thing is SymphogearG v1 sold 9829 BD + 1153 DVD = 10,982 !!! As comparsion vol.1 of season 1 sold 4454 in the first week. And WataMote is not ranked in the preliminary list released today. | ^ I just knew Symphogear had it in itself to double its sales from S1 v1! Very nice storefront effect as expected, lol. I am also happy about Love Live!'s big 2nd week and KinMosa reaching 7k. |
