| also, have the need to say anything with "Core" or "Post" in its name isn't metal (like post-punk isn't punk lol, or post-rock obv isn't rock. Thats why they have "post" in the first place.) Don't have anything against those genres ofc. and for metallica haterz, the first 4 albums of Metallica practically defined the genre (along with Mustaine who was originally in Metallica before forming Megadeth, and Slayer and Anthrax and eventually Kreator) Those four(without Kreator) are called the big 4 for a reason. MOSTLY Most metalcore bands sound like post-hardcore or screamo lol But even Metal Archives (a conservative site) accept some metalcore bands like Killswitch Engage. So I think that some metalcore bands can be considered metal. P.S.
