Why does the anime fandom pretend the 80s & 90s didn't have sexy anime girls too?

@Deathko did you wrote this while being drunk? what the hell did you write? there's a small child who sexualizes his own mother in City Hunter, there's plenty of unfunny jokes on homosexuals and the main guy constantly harasses women. City Hunter is a failed clone of the already per se failed last seasons of Rupan Sansei Part II that ramped up the sexual innuendos trying to masquerade what they were really trying to, meaning a sub-standard clone of something already rotten to begin with. When I was a kid me and other people who went to the same school in Italy really loved City Hunter in its false (non-japanese) form, but in reality in its true form it has aged like shite. I'm so lucky I'm currently enjoying Hokuto No Ken with the guy who voiced Ryo in that crap in the excellent pants of Ken Shiro (excellent because he's doing a great job, Ken is not my favourite of the bunch like he wasn't thirty years ago on normal TV boradcasting) you have no idea.

What episode would that be exactly?

BTW, Minzera...Anzu? Really? what a boring character! Mai stomps all over her. I keep Uranus, Mercury and the newly arrived Android 18 as waifu material with short hair. The best Anzu ever did was when Inoue made the joke about her breasts in the 1998 Yu-Gi-Oh series, after that Mai forever and ever and ever. Thanks the (p0rn) fanart on pixiv for getting me interested into Android 18 after 25 years from the last time I saw her animated incarnation on normal TV broadcasting and one year (more or less) after I saw somebody modeled after her in the (useless) Ultraman Dyna movie about Hanejiro. Now I just need to watch again Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, hoping it doesn't turn the way it did when I rewatched Duel Monsters mainly for Mai.

@minzera friends are not supposed to be yes-women, Anzu is a yes-woman for the Gary Stu Yugi Mutou. That's one of the things I like of my wife Mai, in the few occasions you see her in the first season she's the only one who realistically tells the Gary Stu that friends won't be always there to help him. Ok the power of friendship bla bla bla bla I already have enough for that in Sailor Moon and the Super Sentai (and I have no problems with it whatsoever), Mai is a little bit more realistic and relatable in that sense. At least, for me.

@ProudElitist I get Mai has her appeal, but she ain't for me. I also really like Mana (Black Magician Girl), but who doesn't.


Ishizu and Mai are just for the guys who are into the sexy. Anzu, DMG, Shizuka, Rebecca are for the guys into cute.

@minzera me. I don't like her, I think it was unnecessary fanservice thrown at the viewers when they just needed to make more characters deeper, and for that I mean Mai. Deeper in the sense of simply showing her doing stuff, instead of relegating most of her presence in the ending screens of the second season. There's a reason why in Sailor Moon they spend so much time showing the ladies doing stuff and getting shit done instead of treating them like the cardboard cutouts they are in the unreadable manga, not just for the ladies to identify but also because somebody who is attracted to the character/person (and Sailor Moon was a HUGE dick magnet and still is to this day, I myself have two waifus from there) wants that person to do something. It's the same of Yuka Hirata in the Corpse Princess series, I wasn't happy one bit when I saw that they didn't let voice anything other than two sentences. For the Black Magician girl, she's also literally an hologram, and I find difficult to see sexyness in an hologram.

@ProudElitist You are the first person I've seen that doesn't like DMG. But thanks for elaborating, I understand where you are coming from. She does materialize later though in the Doma arc, and Mana exists in Millennium World arc, of which DMG is her ka (soul). There is more to her than just being a duel monster card. Kazuki Takahashi also implies that Anzu is her reincarnation.
