Just finished Myriad Colors Phantom World. The animation is up to typical KyoAni standards, but the story and characters are decidedly "meh." 6/10 I do want to give them props for making the car a Fiat Multipla (complete with 3-abreast seating in the front): It takes guts to include one of the ugliest cars in the world in your climactic action showdown. And actually animating it vs. punting and using a CGI model. |

Hey folks, as the proud "cultured degenerate" of the former CR forums community, what do y'all think of me starting a "cultured" thread where we can post pics of fan services and (SFW) lewd pics of anime? I remember a long time ago there was a fan service thread "waifu" thread in the old CR forums. This is a serious question HAHA. |

Just like with the Crunchyroll forums, as well as streaming services like Daisuki and go90 before it, VRV has quietly shut down. More specifically, by shutting down it means VRV no longer has their own subscription. The apps still works with a Crunchyroll subscription. That secondary streaming service to Crunchyroll had long outlived its original purpose seeing that it started out carrying Crunchyroll and a bunch of other channels not many have interest in. |

The CR Roku App finally got updated as that has been just been a mess ever since the transformation into Beta two years ago that had me using the PS4 app for awhile, and then the Switch app. It now uses the same interface the Switch version does, all while it doesn't freeze up after finishing a video that had me restarting the app every time I watch an episode of something and want to watch an episode of a different show. |

Summer is here (well not offically until June 1st) but what is everyone's plans; has anyone took a dip and went swimming yet? I can't wait to get out on the water to go kayaking. Also, I'd like to hear y'all's take on something. The church where my mother's mom was buried had Decoration yesterday, ya know that time of year where they put flowers on the graves, and all (or nearly all) of my mom's brothers and sisters and thier kids showed up, talked, and ate together afterwards. So it was a family get-together, but I never really thought of it that way I guess. Well, my dad said that for his grandmaw's Decoration that family from all over the county would get together so it would be a big event. Also, it has always correlated with holiday's like Mother's Day for us (each church is a bit different though). It's not Christmas or Thanksgiving or anything (and a bit more somber when you think about it), but I guess that it has always been a big event for us. What about for y'all is Decoration a big event where you're from or for your family? Do y'all call it Decoration? |

Haven't swam (swum?) yet, although it's warming up here and we'll be able to soon... Technically we have more than a month of spring left; I need to get some community artwork teed up for the summer refresh though... I've never heard of a Decoration before, although it sounds like a pretty cool idea. Funerals are pretty sad, but the silver lining is that you get to hang out with friends and family you may not have seen in a while. Decorations sound like more of that. |

Though, I cannot read two books at the same time. Also, I watch a few classics with no true intentions to finish. So, yeah I do it all.Question; do y'all tend to binge the anime that y'all like? As for me, I tend to binge the stuff that I don't like to get it over with faster, but if I like what I'm watching, I may only watch one episode every couple of days or so to make the moment last longer cause once it's over it's over. Also, it gives me time to appreciate the emotional impact of an episode or digest a concept that the show touched on. At the beginning of this year, I started the anime Monster and now I'm on episode 40 (out of 74). I probably won't finish it until August or September. Second question; do y'all normally watch multiple anime at a time? I wouldn't read multiple books at a time, so (starting about 3 years ago) once I start an anime I tend to stick with just that anime until I'm finished with it. It changes the experience. Also, watch it at your own pace, it took me over a year to watch the 48 minutes that is I'm Kodama Kawashiri |

[My grandad always said for our family, "That if it weren't for bad luck we wouldn't have any luck at all."] I remember my brother spending a whole evening, one time when we were kids, looking thru a clover patch until he found not only one but two four leaf clovers. He was tickled with himself, and probably needed it cause he always seemed twice as unlucky as me. Also, years seems like a long time maybe that's a sign that you should get a new bathing suit and take a dip. |

It builds anticipation. I've gotten on a kick where I've been watching more classics than recent stuff, but I would watch about three different seasonal shows at a time. I've got a cousin who won't finish a couple of series like Steins Gate; Zero (0?) and K-On! cause he says that he'll be too sad to know that they're over and done with. Very disappointing. I also read the visual novel, so that might have helped me appreciate the show, which I actually liked better than the VN. It's been a while now, but the VN definitely felt like it was incomplete. At the same time Steins;Gate 0 is not REALLY a sequel to Steins:Gate, it is the story of what happened after Kirisu was killed by her father and before okabe decided to try and go back to save her from that fate. Steins;Gate 0 is a lot darker than the original. |

I'm watching the Macy's parade, and some of the balloons seem to be underinflated, like the hat on the Snoopy balloon. But I heard there was an incident with the new Luffy balloon as well that resulted in a hole in his hat; I was really looking forward to seeing that one. The Goku balloon seems fine, though. |

Has anyone been having trouble with the Crunchyroll app on Ps4/PS5/Switch lately? After the last update it's been unwatchable for longer than a couple of minutes with constant buffering and sometimes black screens. Before the update the PS4 app always had buffering issues for me despite my download speed and it was the best to watch on Switch but now pretty much everything but PC browser is crapping out. That being said, I assume it's a problem for people outside the US, but honestly my sample size is pretty much 0 and contacting support is essentially pointless. So I was wondering if others are having the same issue. |

I'd say that's a less stressful version of your initial New Year's resolution. Feeling a bit of pressure to catch up with lots of seasonals might just take the joy away. So setting a healthy amount of select shows to follow would be quite manageable indeed. Especially when you could just add a few more if you feel like it. As someone who usually adds about 15-20 titles per season to PTW and only manages to complete about 6-10 series, I'd say planning what to watch just tends to be ambitious. I'm also now planning to change my approach from having a PTW to just watching what I end up liking from my preferred streaming services' libraries. Not a New Year's resolution though so I could break that promise anytime xD |

I only ever pick 3-4 (most seasons less) because there's so much good anime that's on my PTW list that I just run out of time for the seasonal stuff... |

Slight spoilers for Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation I just watched Monsters: 103 and, I think not knowing any possible connections to OP, which I haven't followed, made it more enjoyable for me. The twist in the end made me wish I could relate to it but, it was enough to see a familiar character and get enough context about it. Just a bit disappointed that I didn't get a hint from hearing who was doing the narration at the beginning. xP ---------------- Also, MAL got fixed temporarily but the issue has now come back.
