To me, a good villain needs to have a very strong motive on why he/she became a villain. I have not reached the end of Demon Slayer so I won’t judge Muzan. For Johan, he is a decent villain, 8/10. Here are some good villains that I rate higher than Johan: Su-Won (Akatsuki No Yona) - 9/10 Haman Karn (Gundam Zeta/ZZ) - 9/10 The guy in my profile picture - 10/10 For Eren, I heard from my friends who read the manga mentioned that he is a terrible villain that they make fun of ridiculous his motive is. I don’t know much about AoT since I dropped it in S3 as there are too much deja vu from Gundam AGE, the plot is becoming too predictable for me. :/ EDIT: Light Yagami at 9/10. There are probably more but I cannot think of any right now. >_> |

| Aside from all the characters that have been mentioned already, I personally also really liked Makima from Chainsaw Man as a villain. Through out the whole story it's always made pretty apparent that there's something incredibly wrong with her but towards the end she is revealed as the main villain of the series which is done so effortlessly that it's actually impressive... it's not surprising when it's revealed but it just feels so right. Her fanbase is pretty terrible tho and will probably become even worse when the anime drops but I think it would be unfair to judge her based on external influences. |

| Meruem in HxH, just by role, he's a good vilain but also he brings up good questions about humanity. The fact that he doesn't know which side he's on makes it interesting. The part when he came to understand that every life is valuable and he didn't wanna take another life without a good reason made me go ''Alright, that's a character done right.''. |
