| Whatever you want it to be, man. I promise you this is the truth, the only limit to how deep anything can be is up to you and how much you want to break it down. Good example: The Lion King has occasionally been interpreted as having potentially dangerous themes of promoting class and race segregation. The rulers of the kingdom are a divine monarchy by birthright and are viewed as a superior species and that this is not just archetypal within their own culture as confirmed to be the most logical, divine, and pure conclusion - but the land and nature itself affirms this. When the balance of class shifts to another demographic, the land suffers - meaning that some classes and those associated with those classes, inherently, are lower and do not deserve as well as should not have a certain amount of power - this is also affirmed by the land returning to prosper once this balance shifts. Segregation is the natural order. . . . do I believe that? Eh hell no but the fun part about academia is that if you try hard enough, you can suddenly shift anything to sound and be anything. It's all what you make it. If it makes you think a bit more than usual or something resonates with you, analyze it a bit, maybe it is deep? It's honestly about perception at this point. |
