how many pets do you actually have? and are they expensive?

Excluding normal pets (cats and dog) I think I have about 10 or 15.
Some are expensive and keeping up with their food bill can get kinda costly but it's worthit, I love them.

I'm getting 2 new snakes in febuary (which is setting me back $600) and in march I might possibly buy a few more animals (unsure what ones, there's a reptile expo on that has breeders of both invertibrites and reptiles)
fair enough, if you have the room for it and the money to pay for it its definitely an interesting hobby atleast. 15 or so pets seems a bit ott to me though :3 i wouldnt be able to keep up with that many lol. i always wanted a pet ghecko or something though

...Thanks. Sheep aren't really pets and I don't think they're that expensive. And they probably pay back alot more than 3 fold.

Just counted, I have 18.

With the reptiles and invertibrites, they're all exetremely low maintainence.
I only have one that requires daily care and that's my bearded dragon, needs fresh fruit/vegies each day which is no hassle.
My other animals all only need to be fed once a week ('cept my baby tarantulas who get fed a few times a week)
They rarely need cleaning and yeah, fairly simple :D

The invertibrites are pretty cheap, the expensive ones are mostly the reptiles.

I don't consider it a waste of time as long as we have fun there, what else would you have to do at a time like that, anyways (hanging out with friends excluded)?

By the way, I still have plenty of time, does anyone want some? I have cheap prizes.

oh thats not as bad as i thought it would be, i could probably manage that if i wrote down feeding times and stuff :3

im guessing you need a fairly large amount of room to keep them though, those glass tanks arent small are they?

Depends on the species.
A lot of invertibrites' ideal enclosures are simple small plastic containers.
Some geckos only need a small tub too.

It's best to have a clear container but one the same size of an ice cream container with airholes is fine.
But, not all species' have the same requirements, a lot of geckos would not do well in that at all, research research research!

I know of quite a few Australian geckos that could be kept in a container that size and do exetremely well but yeah, some won't.

Well Australian geckos don't do so well in the middle of a road. My friend through a big gecko into the middle of the road and the car ran over it and it exploded. It was still there after two weeks. It looked like an old newspaper by then.

Wow. It's like 5°C right now, here in Europe and it barely ever hits 35 on hot summer days. Like a week ago it was around -20°C at night. Both options are pretty damn bad, I assume.

The Maori face is a Taniwha(sp?). It's a beast of Maori myth and legend. They're supposed to really kick ass. They could kick a dragon's ass.

Our dollar coins have a Kiwi on the 1 and a White Heron on the 2. That's cool.
