| There is nothing in Berserk for the "mature audience only" except stuff like rape. Story, Characters, Details, Depth, and Dialogue all of them are very shounen-like. Guts an overpowered protagonist, gets more overpowered to beat its enemies. If Berserk was truly seinen it wouldn't have a 9.47 rating and would have a hater group who dislike controversial things, only thing people dislike in Berserk is rape. EDIT: Wow, people get triggered because the series they praise as Seinen isn't actually Seinen story-wise. If I publish Pokemon on Seinen Magazines yes it technically will be Seinen but it's only wrong labeling. Just like Tokyo Ghoul is wrongly labeled as seinen when it belongs to shounen jump. Tokyo Ghoul is a seinen only praised by children and mostly hated by adults. WRONG LABELING Re:Zero is a seinen dark fantasy praised by adults and hated by teenagers. TRUE SEINEN Berserk is a shounen dark fantasy like Attack on Titan praised by both teenagers and adults, it's depth easily understandable by 14 years old. SHOUNEN Vinland Saga entire themes and depth is same as Attack on Titan, WRONG LABELING BOTH ARE SHOUNEN |

| Who even are you? Why should we care weather you accept it as seinen or not? Berserk was published in a Seinen magazine. Thus it is objectively a Seinen. What you consider as Seinen is irrelevant. |

You forgot the gore of the manga, is very expressive and explicit, that's what makes the berserk a seinen, if you don't believe seek for a shounen that does the exactly same thing. Only part i agree, but that's the only part Berserk considered as seinen, remove the gore and it will be shounen. When there is other series with 0 gore which is seinen like Monster or Kaguya-sama. |

| Do you accept stuff like K-On!, Yuru Camp, and Kaguya-sama as seinen? Seinen means anything aimed primarily at an adult male audience. It's not about being for "mature audiences only". There's actually more R rated shounen anime on MAL than R rated seinen. Even if Berserk might also appeal to younger audiences, they just happen to enjoy it as well, they aren't the target audience. |

There are a lot of teenagers who see works that have adults as their target audience, as well as adults who see works that have children as their target audience, there are girls who like to see works that have boys as their target audience and vice versa, that happens, that's not strange. |

Leaving aside the fact that it was published in a SEINEN magazine. If you cannot differenciate Berserk from series like Naruto, DB, Bleach e.t.c, then it is not that the demographics of Berserk are wrong, it is just that you are not mature enough to compreheend they way Beserk builds up its world and characters. But story wise it is not seinen, neither naruto or berserk. Example Clannad After Story in your favorites is 20x more seinen than Berserk. |
