Yes, for me it is.
You have a perfect ending in S;G and you can watch S:G 0 to get another super epic ending.
Also, you're going to enjoy the series if followed in broadcast order, but on the other hand you can understand the whole plot better watching it chronologically.
It has an awesome and well-developed romance, with Okabe suffering for not knowing who to save, making thousands of time leaps to reach the Steins:Gate timeline.
Very well-based time travel with a logical explanation and no flaws. The connection between both series is perfect.
Characters have a great development during the series and a lot of other reasons to consider it the GOAT.

Yep, Steins;Gate is the GOAT.
Especially the visual novel, I consider it to be even better than the anime. Such an emotional rollercoaster. Can't wait to explore more Steins;Gate content in the supposed sequel in the works.

It's hard to disagree with anyone that says it is. It is by far a Top 5 greatest anime of all time. Everything about it is damn near perfect, if not perfect. So if it's not the GOAT then it's definitely one of them.

for an anime where it doesnt have very wide world building, high episode count, or even alot of action, i would say this show was executed percectly till the very end. so yes it is one of the GOATs

For me, if we are only talking about the anime of Steins;Gate and not the whole franchise (which includes that horrendous Steins;Gate 0) then yeah, Steins;Gate is indeed the GOAT and it's the best thing I've watched.

However, if we are talking about the whole franchise of an anime (including all the seasons combined) then Attack on Titan is the GOAT for me since Attack on Titan is the only anime I've watched that managed to impress me through all its seasons, plenty of animes drop the ball in future seasons but not Attack on Titan, although it did drop the ball a bit in S4, it's not enough to make me change my opinion of it. Attack on Titan is the GOAT here.

Both animes are the GOAT in their respective strength, Steins;Gate is the GOAT as a stand-alone anime, and Attack on Titan is the GOAT through all its seasons combined.

agreed, but I feel like steins;gate is more appealing to regular audiences. considering how grotesque chaos;head can be ,even if it had a great adaptation I think the anime community would be really split

It's one of just a handful of shows I rated a 10/10 so yeah I agree. Probably the best directed anime I've ever seen and the characters are all immensely likeable plus even though it's not in the genre tags, one of the most satisfying romances to be depicted in anime.

It's definitely one of the all-time-greats, yes... BUT I've personally come across too many ppl from the young, attention-deficient generation who didnt even stick around till Ep 11 or 12 (after which it really went FULL THROTTLE) who said it was too slow-paced or even boring in the first 6 or so episodes. The very muted - arguably dull - color palate, and the kinda niche humor didn't help either.

Again, I PERSONALLY found it amazing - but can't help think that statistically something like FMA:B or even the Attack on Titan anime is more universally loved (with less haters), that too by significantly more people.
