I mean, ten years isn't possibly enough time for something to "age badly" any way you look at it.
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

i see ppl hate on this show bc it is "cringe" while they go and watch generic romcoms that are all the same and cringe af (for example more then a married couple, lesser then lovers that show is so cringe i hate it)

because it didn't invent Chuunibyou, it's an actual psychology thing that got its name back in the 80's or 90's I think, and is well known in Japan.

As for the post's question, I think the anime aged pretty well. Animation is still on point (as expected from Kyoani), the story still feels relatable to me and the jokes work.

As far as I know, it was the anime which popularized Chuunibyou in anime. Just like so many other anime trends started by kyoto animation.

Oh yeah, it definitely helped popularize its use in the medium, and the anime is often referenced in other works. I was just pointing out that it did not invent the concept of Chuunibyou though. Because the other comment made it sound like it did.

Still lovely. I had my kiddos watch the recap movie and my daughter routinely talks about the eye of the wicked lord, because she legitimately wears a patch for eye correction. Hehe.

It’s alright, but far from KyoAni’s best. Still a fun watch nonetheless!

Not seen it yet. Is it as good as Aura?
(I generally don't like kyoani shows because they changes original stories to put weird baits, so I never tried it.)

I still love it, this reminds me of so much nostalgia.
Hardships (also playfulness) of being a kid and etc.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

It aged really well. It didn’t have the annoying tropes that so many romcom anime have nowadays

My biggest regret: Reading all 200+ chapters of Kanojo, Okarishimasu

Reminds me that I seriously need to rewatch Chuunibyou. My answer for now would be "Absolutely!". It's a terrifically cute anime that evoked a wide array of emotions. We haven't had any other series quite like this.

For those who are still looking for a dramatic romance with a chuuni, check out Aura.
