No one called it the best or 'spectacular' but overall its a good adaptation? I don't get the point of this post, what to disagree with a nonexistent crowd of people that called it that?

You heard the simple phrase 'good animation' from someone and expected a Frieren or Demon slayer level adaptation? Is that it? I'd guess your standards of what good animation is are too high

I wouldn’t say the animation is “average.” I think it’s def a bit above average. But that’s not what makes it visually stunning. It’s really the art style and art direction that make this show so fascinating to look at. It’s definitely one of the most unique art styles I’ve seen in my years.

The animation can be inconsistent at times and it's something left to be desired. I'd give it a 5 or a 6, but artstyle a solid 8.

Admitedly, it is not Bone's best work ever, that said... it is eons better than most 2020s anime

The concept is cool, artstyle is fresh, colours are vivid. Animations are thousands times better than the big one frame man season 3. This season overall has been a draught so perhaps it's natural for this show to stand out more, but in no way I'll call this animation overrated.

I had the exact same thought as you. For how much ppl love this anime, it does NOT have great animation. It has very good, and great at some points but usually it’s nothing that stands out besides the Amo ep. Artstyle is pretty good but artstyle is a subjective thing and it just isn’t my type.

You either just don’t like the art style or haven’t seen what bad animation looks like, because short of powerhouses like Kyoto, Madhouse, Mappa and Ufotable, this animation is really good.

It’s fine, it’s not a slideshow but there actually no sakuga, but I actually like it

For you to think this is average, you must be watching only 10 anime a year and they’re all either MadHouse, Wit, Mappa or Bones lmaooo

you can say the same thing about you're favourite anime hunter x hunter for 90% of it's episodes.

The animation is good, definitely above average but it’s not like top of the industry and I haven’t seen many people claiming it to be. The true beauty of this series comes from the art style tho. It looks fantastic all the time
