| The animation was a little weird and stiff in some places, but I like the art style a little. The music is also good. Too soon to tell anything about the story, but so far it's alright. |
| HAHAHA, another "Mary Jane" anime, where protagonist doesn`t need to do much to get to top level. First word to describe this is " convenient"! The artwork is beautiful and I am a sucker for isekai/gaming anime, so going to watch it all. |

| The most obvious, unapologetic, loser MC power fantasy that I have seen in a LONG time. Did give me Lookism vibes, but at least in that one he had a loving Mother lol... It really went the extra mile to make him look like a waste of space. I do enjoy power fantasy if it's executed well enough and not boring. Decent start. |
| Very cringy and stupid. Also, it took him days to understand that his body completely changed only because he didn't look at a mirror. This guy is blinder than real blind people. |
| Really disliked the first episode, mainly because of the normally of bullying, the MC then being physically chnged to meet everyone else's beauty standards, and how contrived the rest of the episode went from there. Hopefully the rest of the show is better. |

| I like isekai. However, there's a few things I noticed about this series from 1 ep. -has hentai looking visual -modern workd plot copied from Lookism's bully and perfect body thing -fantasy world traveling from Saving 80k gold coins. -MC (before) never lose weight even though he works and go to school. The heck, did he even tried or is he cursed by gods. 💀 -MC (after): how to get abs in 24hrs. Edit Update on 4/6/23: I actually found the damn answer. It was the same creator all along. Same big boy with transformation little to no little work put in losing his own weights. Yes, they both were bullied. The new one doesn't have the gorilla though.  |

| My impression, they skipped quite a bit from the manga. Episode 1 is up to like chapter 5 in the manga, but is missing the other-worthy stuff, they only showed the MC point of view stuff. They missed the part where MC rescued a child that was going to be flattened by a motorcycle after he came back from the other world, and the part where he banged his head, because he grew taller. In the anime there was a comment from one of the girls admirers saying "whoa his legs are so long" in reference to that missing part that was not shown. |

| My first impression was "why this looks like the director doesn't know how to do shit?" and then I saw the horrible artwork and the stiff animation. I had to rewind some scenes just to see if my eyes weren't fooling me in how bad it looked like. The plot doesn't help it at all since it just stupidly generic, and it looks even worse because it not only makes him OP in the isekai but also in the real world. I'm just watching it because there aren't many times where you can see something so bad, this seriously might take Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni S2 title as worst anime of the season and even of the year. |
| Yeah, will this be the same trope as other isekai? No language learning, max level with no/little effort... the leveling system has no fault, but this way of using that is boring. |

The bullies are confronting him, along with his shitty family members. But pretty girl he saves while ugly is there and if she become his love interest after he got good looking it takes a lot away from the potential story. I think stories like Accel World, Ore Monogatari, and Isekai Ojisan have the right idea of making a pretty girl fall for a ugly guy despite him being ugly. With Accel World the girl is interested in his ability in a game world so she doesn't care what he looks like in this one. Not really sure if that is good or not. She is kind of unrealistic as a character and even though he is not famous for his skill it is similar in feeling to having a crush on a ugly celebrity because they are famous. He also has a small support system in his 2 best friends who are kind of attractive and dating each other making him a third wheel until he starts dating the pretty girl. Ore Monogatari the girl is saved by the big ugly guy and finds herself attracted to him. Not sure if she has a fetish or not or if it really matters. He also has a really attractive male best friend that his crushes have been throwing themselves at. The rest of the series is about other people getting past their prejudices and ether falling for ugly guy or atleast understanding how she could find him attractive. Fun series and did a good job. Isekai Ojisan is kind of like the later half of Ore Monogatari with women falling for the ugly guy or at least respecting him, but he is too dense and obsessed with his own interests to care about or even understand their feelings. It is also fun and does well but the uncle's single mindedness and obliviousness make him feel more "Ace"(Asexual) or "Incel"(Involuntarily Celibate) because of his treatment of the women in his life, it gives the impression that either doesn't care about women or hates pretty women because he feels scorned by them. Fruit of Evolution did the ugly guy become hot and gets the girls, but it is not really a good anime and has a lot of problems. Hopefully the rest of the series doesn't follow that one's example. Remembered another ugly protagonist one Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy. Like Ojisan he is so ugly in a world full of pretty people that he gets treated as a monster and this one seems to have non-human women falling for him and taking on human forms like Fruit of Evolution, but not because he is nice or anything to do with the right reasons to be with someone. Instead it is because he is strong. I am glad this one chose to not make the character get attractive but it still it would be nice if the protag got someone who likes him for him. I don’t get how the mc of Tsukimichi is ugly tbh. I think he looks decent, just a bit short maybe but not ugly. Btw, I really want season 2 of that. I know it was announced but I wonder when it will release |
