THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
So, the naive little girl Tanpopo welcomes a new stuffed animal into her collection, complete with a name and backstory for each and everyone of them. Her naiveté causes problems with her maturing friend Chihiro though, who is not able to talk to the stuffed animals any more and is going to get Tanpopo into trouble as well.

I really like the perspective choice in this episode and, in comparison to episode 1 with its filler and somewhat lackluster heroine, this one sure was a lot more interesting. I would have wished for a bit more background on Tanpopo or at least her family as well, so parts of the episode could have been replaced with more interesting content, but as it is, the episode was still directed well enough to make me want to check the next one out as well.
There is nothing terribly wrong with feeling lost, so long as that feeling precedes some plan on your part to actually do something about it. Too often a person grows complacent with their disillusionment, wearing their discomfort like a favorite shirt - Johnny C.

I loved this episode! Tanpopo represents an innocence that people lose as they mature; it was very heartwarming.

I would definitely accept recommendations to any shows/episodes that follow similar themes or are similar in anyway.

Also great art and aesthetic I might add!
