| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- That was a horrible first chapter. I really disappointing because Masugitsune and Kawazukuu also created Puella Magi Tart Magica, which has one of the best first chapters I've seen in a manga. Homura's Revenge was made first but I had higher hopes. This manga hasn't been able to figure out its pace or tone in this first chapter. Way too many things happened in this chapter and none of them felt like they had any real impact. Madoka and Homura have the vaguest idea of a plan, which seems ridiculous now that Homura has such a good chance to finally save Madoka. I can't tell if this manga is trying to be sad or funny. This chapter is filled with jokes that feel like they should be in a parody manga. There are ways one can balance sad and funny and this manga hasn't done that. I will still see where this goes but I won't hold my breath. |
