| Looks like this has the potential to be a favorite this season, I've been wondering when an anime like this would come around. A really good start with a good balance of humor and horror stuff. Maya-chan is a great character, she turned out more interesting than I thought she would, really looking forward to the character development. ^___^ Oh and the mystery sky man from the future, loved Maya's reaction to that, this should be fun~ Apparently I'm not the only one who noticed his man-part shadow when he first appeared. xD The OP was meh, okay but nothing special. The animation was pretty trippy though. Not sure what to think of the ED... So far so good, it has my attention and I'm glad it's not entirely serious. :3 Also, I cannot compare this with HOTD, it's just completely different to me. Lack of fanservice makes me very happy. :D |
| Actually I found the very first episode really appealing. It gave a nice start into the plot. Even though that naked guy at the end was freaking weird. So far I really adore Maya from top to toe. And I don't get what people can have against her dresscode. I find the clothes fantastic, so is the whole character design. Animation is flawless. Opening is actually really catchy and very surreal. I like it. This Anime has great potential. |

| Good first episode (I wasn't too fond of the OP and ED, but I can live with it). I like the tough and realistic character Maya has. I also feel like Smile is going to be a favorite of mine. Thought this was funny, from the preview: "Principal Kumashiro!" "What is it, Kawashima-kun?" "You're head's on backwards!" "Oh, dear..." Can't wait till next week's episodes :3 |

| Wow. That was really good. I'm surprised. Some of the scenes were handled really well. Like the one where the father stands up from his chair and you can see those long nails. DAT SFX. It was perfect. 5/5, looking forward to more. |

| Except for the final scene, the entire episode was kind of underwhelming. This Anime no Chikara project hasn't yielded any impressive results yet, and I kind of doubt that Occult Gakuin will change that fact. I'll give it a couple of more episodes, however. |

| I don't find it very funny but it was quite good for the first episode. I like Maya too. Also, anyone who thinks the circle w/ the star looks similar to This, Kuroshitsuji2, and Shiki are what I'm looking forward to this season. |
Am I the only who thought of the KFC guy Col. Sanders when they saw Maya's dad? Slight resemblance? *shrugs* lol my lazy photoshop skills. Anyways, I thought is was alright. I'll watch the next episode to see where it goes. |

| Seriously, that's the biggest dissapointment of this season as for now. I felt like watching some cheap western cartoon, jokes weren't funny, and art somehow annoys me. The best part of this episode - Maya's "wtf" face when she saw that naked guy at the end. 2/5 for this ep. |

| I really came to like this anieme. I feel this anime has a possibility of becoming a masterpiece. I loled at some points. the glasses girl said being hit by the guy "Kaowa yamete... ( not the face, please...) and, the titles of "MAYA's prophecy" and "The advent of BUNMEI (civilization)" yeah, they are puns and at the last of the show, notation of "There's no occult matters in reality, unless you believe in..." How very true! by the way, until 1999-2000, not a few Japanese people were worried about that prophecy of Nostradamus. a lot of TV shows special feature of that prophecy were on the air, across the country almost every week... but recently there's hardly any occult TV show because BPO (Broadcasting Ethics & Program Improvement Organization) gave them admonition like "Do not treat occult matters as true things" so, this anime is really interesting, or rather, nostalgic to me. |
| SUDDENLY, SHADOW PENIS. This actually entertained me. I like how it isn't taking itself too seriously. It...I dunno, it reminded me of Scooby-Doo, actually. How it was comedic horror in a...cartoony, cheesy way. The characters are fun, the animation is quite nice, and the premise is great. I wasn't expecting much out of this but the first episode was pretty nice. 4/5 for now, hoping it'll stay this way. |

| Great introduction, filled with action, mystery and a badass lead female character. Definitely the best female character of the season by the way. There's something really entertaining and charming about this series, I'll keep watching it. Plus Kitakubo knows what's he's doing and A1-Pictures achieved quite a good level of animation on this one. The best first ep of the season with Highschool of the Dead, unsurprisingly... |

| Hehe watched this right after HOTD. So many horror shows this season. I'm hoping for Shi-ki to be the best.. Well it looks the most promising anyway x3 As for the episode. I liked it but it was a bit meh compared to all the other season premiers I've seen so far. Love the female lead though. Very unique! |

| Seems like there is an interesting plot to be unraveled. I hope that the art can keep pace. I also like how Maya isn't moe; in fact, I think she's rather homely, which is a nice change of pace. |
