Are you using the transparent anime panels option?

Yes.

Although I just made them not transparent and I still don't have a scroll bar..

Can you take a screenshot? The scrollbar problem is only bound to the transparent option (although already fixed, new build out in 1-2 days)

For next version I will make it load and install themes when you open the file, like winamp does.. so you can just download/run the theme file

Hmm weird, should only happen when using transparent panels. Anyway, should be fixed now in the next build.

Yeah, you have to put them in the themes folder. You can right-click the download link for each theme and save/as and direct it to the themes folder.

Yep, did that the first time and tried it again. Still nothing. That's fine, though. I don't really mind, it's just that it's a bit plain is all. No biggie.

From next version on you can just double-click the theme file to install it, can't ask to make it any easier than that :p

Upgraded today from v1.23 to 1.25 and when I redownloaded some themes, all the portions that are supposed to be transparent are now green. Bright neon green.

Yes I'm running in non-classic mode. And even when I was running in classic mode before, it would only screw up the bottom-right toaster pop-up, the themes wouldn't be effected...

Any idea why this would happen? Also tried turning alpha blending on and off, had no effect.

Make sure you are using 32bit color depth in your visual settings (can't believe anyone could watch anime in 16bit :p)

Minimize.. will fix that, I think I broke it in the last update.

Settings window should look like this:

Can you check if you have any options disabled here?

Is that Aria in the bg?

Hi,
I just found out about this great software [I was already thinking that it would be cool if somebody made something like this] But I'm also suffering severly under the minimyze on start-up bug..
Also it doesn't find any players while I have quite a few installed, which is of course quite a problem.

Windows XP Professional SP2, AMD Sempron 3000+ 2 Gig 512 MB RAM, 32 bit
Media Players: Several But I really only use ZoomPlayer, so that one has main priority

Now I don't know how MALU looks for players but here are some possible causes:

-I recently had to reinstall Windows which cleared my registry. But since I reinstalled ZoomPlayer properly, that shouldn't be a problem...But since I didn't
-I use ZoomPlayer 5.02 Professional, the process is still called zplayer.exe tough
- the path is just: C:Program FilesZoom Player or C:Program FilesCombined Community Codec PackZoom Player [don't ask me why I got it twice]
- I even tought it might be because Zoom Player minimized to tray in stead of the task bar, but that's not it either...

And I couldn't really think of any other way of detecting a program sorry XD

Also there's a torrent video streaming client coming up:
http://torrentfreak.com/mininova-bittorrent-video-streaming-080319/
since most anime is downloaded by torrent [or I think it is anyway] you might want to concider adding it it to the players...

Well anyway I'm gonna try some other things, and if that doesn't work I hoped you could help me

Thanks in advance

When it says "No players detected" it actually means no media being played detected, either if the player is running or not. Have you tried actually playing something in zoom player? Also, did you set that player in the Settings/Media Player?

If so, please send me a screenshot of your zoom player playing something, that will help identify the problem.

About video streaming.. not sure; I was gonna add veoh and youtube as players, but rarely anyone is using streaming before normal videos because of the quality. But of course, if enough people request for a player or feature to be added, I will always consider it properly.

Program version: 1.26
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit
Problem: I can't log into my account. It says idle next to the login button and the icon on the tray is gray. I tried uninstalling but I don't seem to be able to delete the application file. When I tried to delete it, an error message pops up and it says that I don't have permission to delete the file.

Maybe you have "x button minimizes to tray" option enabled? Then you need to close it with the tray menu. Otherwise ctrl+alt+del and terminate the process.

What happens when you click Login?

What theme are you using? Can you check for any disabled options under System Properties, Advanced, Performance, Visual Effects?

As for log-in, can you try in non-theme mode? If you can't access the settings button, you can still get there through the tray icon menu.

Also, please try the theme center (can access it in the settings window or right-click on settings button), see if the theme pictures load correctly

Got the same problem as Azhrarn, using Vista 64 Ultimate. Color depth is 32.

Can't change the theme, not even in theme center. Window and buttuns are avaible in non-theme, but even so it can't log-in.

Also if I exit MAL Updater OS says it has some problems... :S

k I found the problem, it gets stuck when it tries to write to the registry in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (to register the theme file extension), Vista won't let it unless it runs with admin privs. I'll see what I can do about it

hmm I see, that means the installer needs admin privs. to launch malu :p just click ok and it'll be alright, it installed fine

this is just a temporal fix, ill make it better for the next version, since needing admin privs for every run is quite intrusive

Could one of you guys do some beta testing? I'm making malu only request admin privs. when it needs, so that you don't need to accept every time you run it, so it'd be great if you can test it and give me feedback.

(Vista only, must have UAC enabled)
