So a cheap version of Overlord? I see. Well, the manga is truly good but for the anime, I don't like the animation maybe because I do not like the studio Maho Films. Anyways, I like the whole "Nameless Evil God" stuff going on with him. Takuto is OP so I'll keep watching.

I understand why people say it reminds them of Overlord with the dark theme. To me it reminds me more of Realist Hero because it's more administrative than action.

Why Isekai this season has banger OPs now I can't wait to see what Shield Hero cooks up.

Bro died while playing his game and got transported to the game with his waifu. If that's not enough compensation for his unfortunate previous life idk what it is. I am kinda confused what Atou is she in not native to this world but she also understands game mechanics. Just have to adress as wish fulfillment character and ignore details which I am happy to. She is perfect she doesn't need to get scrutinised.

2nd half not as good but switching to Dark elves pov was better way to world build than just lore dumping. I haven't watched Overlord so dk but this doesn't have some similarities to early Tensura like goblins & dark elves, Veldora & Atou. And mc is decent although but weird looking.

But Atou absolutely adorable peak waifu materiel🫡

I really like the source material for this series. Already had an inking of it but really sucks to see it didn't the proper budget to make the adaption look amazing. This is like watching the Mobuseka adaption all over again. Being a fan of works that get a mid quality adaption just makes you wish they'd never done the adaption in the first place so at least you'd still have hope that one day the series would get the royal treatment for an amazing adaption
@Rowd i saw that the manga is great but the anime was almost boring for me

the art looks nice in the manga, i just checked to see the difference between the chara design of the anime

Shame on those who compare it to Overlord. Again, typical passable anime with a bunch of plot holes and rapid development of the plot for a limited budget and seasoned all of this with cliché all and everything.

This was a cute start! I love Atou as a character and I think it's really funny that the "King of Ruin" is actually just this super awkward guy XD

Overall, a good first episode and a nice introduction to what the next episodes might look like!

My problem, its generic. Character design is too basicC i would absolutely forget what the character looks like. A good character design for a normie would be like subaru from re zero because his tracksuit is iconic and his hair is way more different from the average black haired main character. The animation style is just a little better than the average 12 episode show which i assume this is, but the framerate will remain just like the average 12 episode anime. Dynamic between him and his favorite character is fine but judging from the opening, this is going to be a harem style anime, and there will be no fun diversity if the harem is not meant to be ironic. i doubt there will be another season.

Looked over the animation studio's previous works and it's just a list of previous years generic looking mediocre isekai so... that checks out.

One thing I found very clever about the set up was how when our protagonist met his favorite character, instead of the “pretending to fit the role in the game” trope that we’ve seen in other shows, we go a less explored route of the character not only knowing who he is but remembering everything they went through together in playthroughs.

I think i like that set up; you can only push an “awkwardly hiding your true self” gimmick for so long before it gets stale.

I watch pretty much every Isekai that comes out, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one goes

Eh... This kinda sucks lol between this and New Saga, not sure which one I like less.

It's a pretty generic isekai story. The MC who is on their deathbed dies while playing their favorite fantasy game and wakes up in the game they were playing just before they died. And of course this guy just happens to be like the #1 ranked player, and now he can live in this world he spent so much time in and be with the character he's in love with... Oh yeah and that same character seems to be into him too, because of course.

I am really not in the mood for a generic isekai rn lol I get the feeling this is going to be the first thing I drop for the season. If there's no like fanservice to at least stare at yeah I have no reason to keep watching this.

The characters of the MC and the girl are going all over the place and the plot is nonexistence, while the stupid childish comedy covers all the gaps in between, this is outright horrible, but I'll stay with it until ep3 and see how much worse this gets, wow. This anime quality is very sad. Reminds me of The New Gate, where the MC also picks a girl that is also supposed to be his supporting character in the game he plays, what a bunch of nonsense, bleh :/

The seiyuus interactions and general portrayal of the dialogue. Was excellent and well executed. Overall, my impression is positive, even considering my opinions been favorable to start, ep 1 did not lower it for the future.

I agree with taking from overlord but not the potential.
the plot seems interesting but the character design is lame. the male is not dominant and momonga and the girl is out of character I don't even know if it's a follow player or an npc or what?

A good start even though the pacing is slow. It seems like now the isekai author no longer cares about how the main character gets isekai, suddenly he enters the game world and somehow Atou doesn't seem to live in the game world because he is not familiar with the world even though he is from the game. That part is quite strange, but it's okay.

Takuto, even though he is depicted as someone who is not good at communicating, he doesn't look like a loser, besides that he is also able to adapt quickly and it seems like he will be a successful king in the future if you look at his decision choices.

In terms of the plot, I can already guess that the dark elves will be his followers in the future. They might be useful as resource and labor collectors to build the kingdom. Talking about this makes me remember when I played campaigns in the game Warcraft III.

Visually, there is nothing special, and it looks ordinary so far. I think the 3D animation of the monsters is polished well so that they look like they blend in with their surroundings. Also I like how they portray Takuto from the dark elf's perspective, Takuto looks like a true king of destruction from his appearance, aura, atmosphere, and background music.

So far I like it and can't wait for the sequel, 4/5 from me.

Wow the main relationship is a lot more romantic then I thought it'd be. Thought it'd be like Ainz and Albedo where its just the girl that likes him but he started off with saying she was the one he loved most. I'm all for it. Atou is so cute.

Also I love the way they represented him through the dark elves eyes. A dark evil figure with white eyes. Thats cool as hell. I hope they keep doing that.

Cant wait for more of this as I love isekais that focus on building a base/kingdom.

@EcchiGodMamster The writers simply skipped over critical elements that help us understand the world. Placing chess pieces on the board, imagining everyone won't think too hard.
@iheuzio there's nothing to explain without it being heavy handed. it functions on the idea that you're familiar with strategy games just like how most fantasy never explain the concept of "mana" or what an "elf" is. It's the agreement between the writer and the audience that you know what these things are. Like more modern strategy games, she is the named hero unit for the faction of Mynoghra in the fictional game - think Warcraft 3 units like orc blademaster or the named hero units in 4x game Endless Legend.

This show's gonna be fun I can tell. Already like the tone it's setting, and I like how the MC looks like some weird ass demon thing to the other residents of the world. Show has potential to be everything I wanted overlord to be

Kind of a weak start. It's a different approach than other Issekai, for sure but not all that different. It is interesting enough to warrant few more episodes and I like the fact they proclaim themselves as evil right off the bat, although I have doubts about that. It will most likely end up being like every other "evil" character in anime which is not actually evil but mostly misunderstood or secretly doing good. I'd love to get a show with anti-hero theme. It's one of the reasons why I liked Eminence in Shadow.
@MeanEYE I mean, we can see them literally just roleplaying being "evil". Atou literally got embarassed after doing an "evil" speech.

JUST GO READ THE MANGA or novel, forget this ever existed in the first place.

Wasn’t expecting its adaptation, but I knew they’d make it very low quality.

@Ahmed_Alanany Yup. As of the first episode, the characters are quite shallow but with the narrative given, I think they can grow further. I'm not expecting him to be someone like Ainz. The running gag would likely remain the same, he'll blurt out ambiguous phrases that would scare the living hell out of everyone not affiliated closely with him yet appear naive and benevolent from the POV of the main cast.

As for Atou, the girl with him here, she's likely an NPC but had been imparted with "real world" knowledge that made her self-aware.
PS.
I haven't read the source material.

Pretty decent first episode for this show.
I like how Atou already knew everything about Takuto which explains the respect she has for him, after god knows how many playthroughs he's done with her as his hero. I just thought it was a cool and different idea.

I'm looking forward to see how this show progresses and how the world builds around our "Lord of Ruin".

I found the description interesting, so I planned it that way, but the first part is a disappointment. Basically, it gives you two heroes who didn't do anything, then a bunch of refugees, and that's it. It's not very interesting, and the conversation contradicts what happened. If you just give them food, you're not evil at all. Of course, I understand that you have to start somewhere, but unfortunately, this was a zero start. I hope it picks up after two or three parts, so far it's very weak and disappointing.

The only thing that doesn't convince me is the animation, but I find the rest of the anime entertaining enough to pass the time, which is why I feel that the OP is too dramatic for this show. Still, I'll give it a chance since I haven't seen Overlord yet.
I tried to post in Spanish — the mods were not amused.
“English only, thank you.” Okay. So much for being used.
“Just copy-paste and click,” they smile, like that will make it right,
But language gates aren’t freedom — they're censorship in white.

This is basically Overlord if MC isn't emotion-blocked to become evil incarnated and the main female lover? also remembers about being Isekai'd and has all game knowledge.

This seems interesting,

Since they're basically "playing the game" in real time this time, lol

.

Atou seems to be pretty funny and cute, lol

A great companion to hang out with

Everyone's Isekai should be like this, going into a new world with a dedicated companion that follows and understand you on a personal level. (and not just NPCs that only goes "HEY HEY HEY")

.

Also, the high cost "emergency production?" (who named this?) isn't that bad, they're going "EWWW", but it's kinda cute in a way, lol.

I find it way more unrealistic that Atou somehow remembers the MC telling her things in-game, even after the start of every fresh campaign in Eternal Nations, than the fact that they both got isekai'd to another world...!
