| I sure hope the Thunder Pike isn't a recurring plot point for the entire 24 episodes because I'm already tired of them. It seems the author is not very good at making compelling antagonists/villains as all the ones we've gotten so far are as basic and nonsensical as they come. Also, the plot for this episode makes no sense to me. Requesting and sending out a C rank party makes no sense at all, really question the competence both the guild master and the king. It's one thing to recognize Yuke's strength and request for him to assist the rest of the party tackling the potential stampede (not necessarily assisting Thunder Pike themselves), but to request an entire C rank party to go makes absolutely no sense. Yuke and the girls agreeing to go also worries me, it seems that the Clover girls are a bit in over their head just because they have Yuke in the party when they barely made it out of the Shadow Stalker situation just last episode... If the guild master is well aware that Thunder Pike and the other guild remaining are not to be trusted, why did they and the king grant their request to tackle it? Especially Thunder Pike who has been failing quests after quests which should be easier and are on the verge of getting demoted?!?! Hello? The sensible thing to do would be to take the party that was sensible and left and put them together with Yuke and get help from other, actually qualified A rank parties if the stampede is a real concern. There's no way their entire plan to deal with this serious crisis involves just relying on a guy that was just recently promoted to A rank and a bunch of C rankers?! TF would they have done without Yuke...Even if they needed all the help they could get and couldn't afford to bar Thunder Pike and the other party, they could've sent them on their own first and then send a second group after that includes more competent members like the party that was there but left because they couldn't stand to be with the other 2 as well as Yuke. It doesn't take a genius to see how this will not end well dungeon aside, just because Thunder Pike is there.... Also, new cat girl member is cool and all, but the guild's response to a request for a scout was to introduce another C rank member to this clearly not C rank quest...I can't even... |
