| I never thought I'd be uttering the words "I fucking hate this game" "I need this to be over already" "Oh my god just make this stop" in reference to a Yakuza game but here we are. Yakuza 4 is totally killing my mood. Not even taking a break for these past few weeks has helped; in fact, it seems it made it worse and even harder to get through the tail end of the game. When I say it's only the ending left now... it's really just The. Very. End. I have maybe 2 hours of core gameplay left and that alone seems so daunting it feels me with dread (could stretch it for 5-10 hours longer if I really gave a shit about the side content as much as I normally do). I've heard how tedious one of the final bosses is and I'd kinda rather kms than fight that fucker. Yes there's more than one final boss because there are FOURRRR playable characters!! You might think "Yippee how fun" but it's not because they just steal the spotlight from Kiryu and learning 4 fighting styles is a chore! I already own all the subsequent games so I could easily watch the ending cutscenes and move on to Yakuza 5 + beyond already. But I'm so stubborn about finishing each game properly that I'm just perma-stuck, until I can force myself through the godawful final boss of a game I can do nothing but complain about. Ugh Everyone knows me as THE Yakuza fan but I don't feel like a Real Yakuza Fan unless I avoid ragequitting this stupid ass game |
