But something about Googling it and seeing "Can be used for schizophrenia" on there makes me feel bad lol. Thank you though ๐ It seems to calm me down right away Also good news is my treatment is entirely free going forward ๐ฅณ Last time I talked about this with you (I know I never replied, sorry, I felt AWFUL then) I was so stressed over the financial aspect. Even though I don't have insurance, the clinic was able to determine based on my income that my appointments and meds should be free!! |
| is it your first time on antipsychotic meds? I was on a different atypical antipsychotic (risperidone) for a long time (i wasn't supposed to be on it, was my parents pumping me full of it) and that shit really does a number on your brain and body overtime. you prolly dont need my advice but make sure you report any and all symptoms to your doc, even if they seem small |
| @anime ahh man... sorry you went through that, the potential side effects do worry me. It's not my first time but I do appreciate the advice regardless. I've taken this one before when I was hospitalized earlier this year. They gave me a script for a month after discharge, so in total I was on it for about 40 days and found it helpful that whole time. I'll definitely be vigilant in case any problems arise in the long-term, though. |
| @starflutter, i'm glad you're being vigilant, i've heard many cases where the doctor doesn't stress the possible side-effects of anti-psychotics. especially over long term, for example the metabolism getting completely fcked is very very common but if you still feel fine in a few months then there's probably nothing to worry abt. not trying to freak you out or anything lol just all too familiar with the troubles it brings. if it helps you with what it's supposed to, that's the most important thing after all |

I'm on stuff that's akin to chemical castration, and some quack doctors historically prescribed my course of treatment for schizophrenic patients. I had an over-medicalized youth, and it probably would have been better for me to transition from age 10 than to try all the shit I was put on over the years. |
