So anyone saying that it's long probably also means that it's boring for a variety of reasons they don't care to articulate.This reason is good because for example , i am a big fan of One Piece , he's one of my favorites animes , but if someone don't want to watch it bc it's a 1110+ episodes anime , it's fine because the problem is not the length of the anime but the fact that when you watch this anime , you can't really watch anything else (who are not seasonal) at the same time for at least month , i watched One Piece during lockdown , sa i had a lot of free time , but nowadays i don't know if i would start now because my PTW is too big and i don't have the amount of free time i used to have during lockdown. Honestly, this isn't a "them" problem, it's a "you" problem. It sounds like an ADHD/autism issue. It really shouldn't be hard to figure out why someone is saying something on a basic level. As for One Piece, it actually is "too long". And that's because it could tell its exact story more effectively if it were 200 episodes instead of 1100+. It is replete with fillers and pacing issues. This is why projects like One Pace and Dragon Ball Z Kai exists. Even if I had more time, it wouldn't make One Piece better. |

| While any reason is good to watch or not watch an anime, because we are all different and all have different tastes (obviously), the argument of "it's too long" is indeed a really valid reason to refuse to even give a show a try. I don't get why some people make a big deal of it in the first place. It's no one else's business what somebody else decides to do with their free time in the first place. What's more, it's not hard to imagine someone new to a franchise getting overwhelmed by the sheer number of episodes released in total or that have been released so far, when said franchise's main anime is still an ongoing series. Not to mention classic promises like "it gets better after over 9000 episodes," which can be seen (and apparently are) as kind of ridiculous by many anime viewers. Of course, the maximum length will vary among many people. For some, the length won't matter; for others, it will be 100+ or 500+ episodes in total etc. Personally, these days I dislike anime with a lot of episodes, setting my upper limit to max 100 eps. I very, very rarely pick up a series belonging to a franchise I was not familiar with before, that has over 100 regular length episodes. Heck, if something doesn't look good enough in my eyes on a first glance, then I won't give it a try even if its amount of episodes is, say, around 50 (so way below the set limit I mentioned earlier). But that's only when we're talking about "this anime is too long" enthusiasts, haha. It's nothing bad about not caring about the length of various shows, not only anime; just as there's nothing wrong with disliking them. Like I said before, we all have different tastes, and we should be aware of what feels fun for us and what does not. |

Agreed. I'm just not going to watch something if it's over 100 episodes unless it looks really good.
| @Kruszer Same do I. It must really, really pick up my attention and look good enough to make me want to check it out with a thought that I might want to continue watching that show till the end. Heck, I refuse to watch even shorter series if they don't look appealing to me, lol. |
