Existential drama was not the direction I expected. You just explained he can still teach future generations to slay the evil outsiders.

He's not even wearing his armor and they are still hiding his face XD.
Also I feel like people would recognize him by voice but I guess that guy is just kind of dense.
Like how he gets his armor repaired but it still looks beat up as hell.
I do appreciate that what I was kind of scolding the guild and society for in episode 1 is actually being picked up now with the suggestion of a training hall with retired adventurers.
Although IMO they were missing even more basic things than that like simple and basic knowledge and information.
I also like the more existential problem it tackles of "it's nice and all" that he makes his his life mission to slay Goblins. But eventually he won't be able to Slay Goblins anymore.
Though to some degree I'd say the answer is actually simple.. "train other people to slay goblins" or... drive them to extinction before the time comes when he can no longer slay goblins. Though the second one might not be very realistic. I imagine that much like Rabbits and Rodents they'd be pretty hard to drive to extinction.
