| absolutely wonderful, definitely felt some emotions here. Miku with a great idea of having Futaro hold both Ichika and Miku's hands, with Ichika being distracted by her cough, not hearing what she said. Itsuki is lost, with Futaro and the girls trying to figure out a way to find her. Futaro takes Ichika up the ski lift, but it was Itsuki in disguise and Futaro was able to figure her out since Ichika calls him by his first name and Itsuki's poor eyesight when pretending to spot for her down below. Futaro mentions how she is never straightforward with herself and ends up resting on her which is so cute. Turns out he has a cold and fell asleep, and all the girls wanted to stay with him in the room since they were worried about him. Futaro declines and wants to be alone. His talk with Nino, he is keeping that lie going about "Kintaro", making up a reason why he didn't show up to the campfire. It sucks but Futaro would probably be dead if Nino found out the real truth. Futaro trying to adapt and not lose any trust with the other girls too. Miku with another W as she doesn't want Futaro's trip to end on a miserable note. Miku and Ichika make up with each other, with Ichika acknowledging how important the dance was to Miku, and how Miku didn't want to be so unfair by thinking she is the only one who is special. Miku following her heart and telling Ichika and the others to do the same. Yotsuba and Ituski discover Futaro's notes to bring stories back to Raiha and see how important it is to him, so wholesome. All the quintuplets actually sneaked into the room where Futaro was resting and they were all worried about Futaro. I'm surprised Nino is actually somewhat coming around and actually being worried for him. Itsuki being the first to go to him and hold his hand, SHE FINALLY DID IT, ITSUKI HELD HIS HAND YESSSS!! She held his hand while the campfire countdown was nearing its end. Even if they aren't around the campfire, Itsuki and Futaro may potentially be together for life? I ship it. Futaro was really dreaming the whole time of getting married while the rest of the girls held one of his fingers hoping he wakes up. Thought Futaro would be happy to see all of the quintuplets around him but he started yelling, and the girls were laughing at his anger while they ran away. That surprised me. Definitely going to watch the 2nd season, I love it. Easy 9/10. |
| A few years ago When I was an anime tourist I watched the cringe EN dub and I didn't like this anime at all... Now that I'm not an anime tourist anymore I watched the JP dub... it's 10/10 wow! |

| It’s fun reading all the predictions for who the bride is back in 2019 as someone rewatching this, everyone is so certain it’s one character or another, ah good times lol. And this final episode is probably the one I remembered the most from, the Itsuki impersonating Ichika thing I did forget about but right before Uesugi lifted the hood it clicked with me where Itsuki was, pretty cool aha moment, as well as a cute scene in general, it’s just unfortunate Uesugi got hit with the deathly anime cold immediately after lol. But the anime cold hitting Uesugi is what made the final moments of the episode so good, every girl holding a finger of Uesugi’s hand during the bonfire, all that talk about the legend and this is the outcome huh lol, but I love it, it really keeps the door open for every girl still, even as we see the bride in the jump to the future, it’s genius honestly, so no matter who you see as the most likely win, you can’t truly cross anyone off the list yet. Definitely an incredibly sweet ending to the first season, even if you can’t tell who wins there is still very apparent progress between Uesugi and the quints, they’re all so much closer now compared to the beginning. Also I forgot about that insert song during the wedding scene, it was pretty nice. And with that my very long awaited rewatch of The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 1 is done, I’m so sad lol, I really didn’t want it to be over but 12 episodes laid out before you goes a lot quicker than the 12 weeks this aired back in Winter 2019, man was it a good rewatch tho. It was a pretty different experience seeing the humble beginnings of Uesugi’s relationships with the quints knowing how the series ends, some characters are widely different and others not so much, but I love watching the shenanigans between this bunch all the same. One interesting thing about this rewatch for me was my feelings changing for a particular quint, being Itsuki, back when I originally watched the series she was just kinda there for me, but this time around she grew on me way better, maybe my tastes have altered over time but I found her cuter than before, I’ve always liked all the quints but this time around she’s actually fighting for my top spots, of course Miku and Ichika still hold number 1 for me but I could honestly see Itsuki being up there now, funny how that happened lol. And I can’t say enough how amazing that OP and ED combo is, they’re incredibly nostalgic now too, I’ll really miss them along with this first season. And I guess with that I move on to Season 2, I ain’t taking no breaks lol, the QQ train stays moving! |

| Currently rewatching: (A plot hole?) Ironically, when he met them for the first time, he thought they are friends even though later at some point he said it's very hard or impossible to tell them apart because their faces were very identical, so how did he think they were friends and not siblings (or quintuplets) as they were very similar to each other to the point it's hard to tell who is who?
