That was awesome. There were actually two battles going on simultaneously: the physical one where Leo was beating everybody badly, and the meta battle of getting Echidna and the four generals to fight him, where Leo was actually getting rekd.

Leo couldn't get Echidna to really fight him for the longest time until he attacked Lily, whereas before this episode Echidna was always quick to torch him. Leo tried to get Edvard to lose respect for him, but Edvard reaffirmed that he respected Leo and was still his friend regardless if Leo was a villain or not. Leo tried to convince Mernes that he'd destroy the world, but Mernes called out Leo's lies to the point that Leo had to chase him down to shut him up. Shutina pointed out all the inconsistencies in Leo's actions, and how he said he wouldn't betray them; Leo couldn't even bring himself to directly respond to anything Shutina said. Also Leo's incredibly slow to attack Shutina, like he didn't want to. He actually only attacked her twice, once with the magic arrows Edvard blocked, and the gut punch. All the other magic attacks at Shutina was just countering Shutina's attack spells at Leo first. And finally, there was Lily who rekd Leo the most, to the point of hand twitching, and face grimaces. When Leo took Lily down, his mask of being the villain almost broke, he's just stood there over Lily on the ground, stunned for so long while Echidna was rationalizing to use her anti-Leo spell, and coordinating with Shutina.

That was a really great battle despite the physical battle being so one-sided in Leo's favor. It was so well executed that at times it was hard to tell whether if Leo really was unhinged or not, and whether his face grimaces were Leo looking villainous or emotionally distraught at what he's forcing himself to do to his friends.

Nope, giving up on this. Too many problems with how this world works, or perhaps just not enough or not good enough explanation for how the world works.
