she's the least deviant member of the main cast, she has a cute witch hat, and she generates the show's sakuga.

also the other two girls are adults, and you know how weebs be. lol, I say, with no mirth.

Lalatina gets annoying quickly, kazuma is just trying to get by so it's not as interesting a character allot of the time, Aqua is high energy but doesn't do meaningful things, Megumi is high energy and I'm more interested in her ambitions. I think allot of people can relate to wanting to something their way. She's also the focus of the funnier comedy moments imo. Though the lich isn't that bad I have a hard time remembering her name.

shes not my favorite character, but she is easily one of the most enjoyable and funny characters. Also she is the mc's "love interest" which I guess helps it more.

More screentime than almost everyone outside of Kazuma and Aqua (with the movie she has more screentime i think), very funny, cool design, fuckton of memes, cute... I think it's why.

I do prefer Kazuma and Aqua but I understand why people love her. She's just a great character in a show like this

Many have said this, but I will say again. Just this is enough.

Even more so when you add the grandoise-feeling the anime puts into her incantations, only for her to use her massive spell on something pointless like a lake or a castle.

The Komi san series had a character popularity poll once, and the chuunibiyou character ranked extremely high despite being a side character. From this, we can assume chuunibiyou waifus are very popular choices. Also, people love lolis since they are cute and funny. 😭

I admire Megumin because she's a cute loli who's passionate about explosions <3

She has a dark personality to her character that I love about her.

Also, I can't wait to see her in action in S2!! ^^
