Mind if I change the topic now? I would like to rant about PEOPLE WHO HATE LENALEE FOR NO FUCKING REASON. GOD I JUST WENT TO THE DGM FC ON MAL...and in the thread "which character do you hate the most?" NEARLY EVERYONE SAID LENALEE.

LIKE WTF. SHE DOES NOT DESERVE ALL THAT HATRED. *stab* Their reasons are always so lame and completely untrue. Like "she's just too weak for me"

Really? REALLY? So then I guess her beating that level 3 akuma didn't really happen and yeah what about that level 4 akuma hmm? LENALEE WAS THE WHOLE FUCKING REASON EVERYONE BEAT THAT CREEPY THING, they were all about to get their asses owned, even Allen. SERIOUSLY.

They say she cries too much but if that's the reason they hate her they should be hating on Allen too since he seriously cries a lot for a male lead (not that I find anything wrong with that. He's only human ._.) BUT HONESTLY. You can't expect anyone to take that reason seriously if they like Allen it's just being selective cause she's a FEMALE who cries, GOD FORBID =.= Not to mention Lenalee is also only human for God's sake and the stuff she goes through - give her a fucking break.

JUST AHH these people suck Lenalee is a great character and she's being hated on just because she's a female in a shounen and b/c there are lots of pretty boys around her that stupid yaoi fangirls like to pair together and they think Lenalee is in the way. Since she's pretty much proof that Allen isn't gay. My GOD the stupidity of some people makes me want to slam something into a wall.

Well.... I think the thing with some people is that they want their brotagonist to act like cyborg who contracts constipation, any exception will be hated on for no reason. Thus why males like Allen or Kira will always be subjected to hatred since according to them, males can't cry and hafta go shout: "I'm GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!" all the time. While it's really annoying to see a guy crying all the times, I can forgive that fact if he has a valid reason to cry. Like when your girlfriend whom you love like a b**ch got blown up in front of your face; or when a little girl who entrusts her life to you by offering you a crane filled with love also got killed,.... I mean WTF, they expect the guy to shout: "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, IMA GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!" when all those killings happens?!!! I guess it's just beyond my capacity of understanding human's psyche in these cases.....<_<

Wow. I gotta say I can totally feel your pain. Recently on the DGM forum I frequent the least fav character thread there came under a massive flood of Lenalee bashers all due to the recent revelation of Kanda's past. Some saying that "oh look Kanda had it SOOOO much worse than Lenalee and look how well he's coping" Oh yes he is a fine example of someone coping with it. As long as you ignore:
A: the halucinations
B: his borderline fanatical quest to find a person that MAY NOT EVEN EXIST ANYMORE
C: lack of most emotions and in a sense just burying the past ala how he acted when the Earl pointed out Alma to him.
Another attack there said that if Lenalee was there she would cry from having to SEE Kanda's past.....I shit you not someone actually said that. Yes Kanda is one of the people in the order after Komui and ALlen who make up a big chunk of her world. Of course she'd cry from having to see something like the painful past of Kanda. SHE'D CRY FOR HIM DAMMIT.

Then someone said that they hate CANON Lenalee saying that she's better in fanfics. Just how more fucked up can some perceptions of what a character is, can get?

Honestly my pet theory is similar to yours
Lenalee haters are comprised of:
A:Yaoi fangirls who like you said feel her as a threat to their delusions since neither of the males in DGM showed signs of being ghey
B: men or women who can't handle a STRONG female character that STILL retains her humanity
C:insecure people who feel threatened personally by a 2d character. >_>

And those who are into DGM kno both Lenalee and Allen have had plenty reason for it during the moments they DO angst and cry.

pixiv is the Japanese version of Deviant Art. It's what I use to get the latest Umineko fanarts. Sometimes I get even 10 pages of art a week to browse through for the main Umineko tag alone >_> *looks at his FC on D.Gray-Divinity and the fanart section which is freakin flooded*
