God these studio wars are so fucking dumb. I really love how MAPPA has handled AoT and their direction, sometimes more than WIT. but I think even I and most people can agree that WIT handled attack on titan much better. Not necessarily because MAPPA did worse, but because WIT was literally made specifically for AoT, they had the time to establish and create a powerhouse team of staff that suited the vision they were going for. So OBVIOUSLY WIT is gonna have an edge over a studio that just had a massive IP plonked on their lap with no time to establish any concrete basis and team for what is the most demanding part of the story. I'll always forver be grateful to both studios for making AoT what it is today when the stupid time constraints from the higher ups could've easily made this series go the 7 deadly sins or promised Neverland route. hell, everything was pointing towards that so it was a miracle that it didn't, and that's thanks to all the talented staff who very clearly have a lot of passion and work hard to create something good for us

yes they did a better job , but if you look at the bigger picture A DROP IN QUALITY was inevitable since studio change does that BUT mappa managed to still keep it afloat with only a 10 to 15% reduction in quality (Don't quote me on those estimates this is strictly how much I feel they should be)

I will say Wit and Mappa have completely different animation styles, so neither is better.

I mean you can clearly tell when a series has more money than others, and it doesn't feel fair to blame it entirely on the studio. But perhaps Wit's animation style resonates more with the manga art style, so if this is what you mean by better, then I understand.

using CG in a big anime like AOT is a disappointment to the fans, that's why I'm hesitating to watch chainsaw man, I'm afraid they might ruin that too.

If i myself have a project i will rather WIT studio animate it compare to Mappa

Moreover ,if u comparing to other anime ,check Spy X Family which is very popular right now , see how WITS and CLOVERWORKS animate ,how they present ,and how those artworks really impress the audience .If this anime animated by MAPPA it would definitely not that great

For you, wit is not better than mappa. Only wit's drawing style and animations and animes appeal to you. Spy x family i yes mappa couldn't do better because mappa's style is not an anime. For example, if Spy x family didn't do wit and cloverworks, jc staff could do it. Some studios concentrates on a certain genre for example; Sunrise is the studio that makes more mecha anime, mappa is the studio that makes more dark series, kyoto animation is the studio that makes more drama anime, jc staff is the studio that makes more comedy anime etc.

Mods on this site are so beta. When you call WIT better than MAPPA in a post, they'll lock it and warn you because you're "starting flame wars" or "writing a blog style post" or "doing a this vs that"

When you do the opposite and appeal to the sheep consoomers by calling MAPPA better, the thread stays up for four days untouched. They're probably MAPPA fans as well
