Personally i don't think its mappa because if they're actually doing it they would've reveal it on the mappa stage.But it does seem possible that mappa is doing it (although personally i think its unlikely)

Its unlikely that Wit Studio will make this themself, since the director and another animator have moved to MAPPA as a full-time employee. And also one other moved to Kafka. So it could be either MAPPA or Kafka handle this season themself or:
1. Kafka X MAPPA.
2. Kafka X Wit Studio.
3. Wit Studio X MAPPA.
4. Three of them together.

I would bet on no. Director is MAPPA emloyee, character designer/chief animation director is now working for studio Kafka. Wit seems to be busy with other projects. Wit's or any studio's name missing from the announcement, nor has Wit's twitter retweeted/liked the announcement. There would be no reason for that if Wit is just continuing. Not to mention that until recently Wit was credited in official Vinland Saga anime twitter's bio but now it's removed.

You who claim to be a WIT fan are not enough to understand that the studio is not the same anymore. And that doesn't mean it's a bad thing, quite the contrary, it's a good thing. WIT was formed in 2012 by the Production I.G team that animated Guilty Crown. Tetsuro Araki and the rest of the Staff formed the modern WIT.

In 2013 there were serious production issues in Attack On Titan. Several delays, and many people at the time complained about the studio, the animators, as if they were getting in the way of the organization. But the reality is that the deadline to produce the series was very short, and there were reports of animators who stayed to sleep, and others who slept in the studio to finish the work.

WIT President Jouji Wada was heavily criticized in the online community, because whenever he went to an event he bragged about how much his animators were required to produce each year, almost without a break. After several losses of talented staff at the Xebec studio, and financial capital (profit), Production I.G began to change its way of managing the studios. WIT would no longer take on projects that put the team's health at risk, and soon the studio would abandon Aot.

With the departure of Studio Xebec from Production I.G Holding, a new studio would need to be established, but unlike Xebec, this studio would need a better, quieter environment where animators want to stay. Studio Kafka is the Holding's new studio, and proof of this is that it will produce content from it, and was founded by former WIT members. WIT has partnered with Netflix to train new animators for future productions, and apparently they are trying to focus on profitable work, but in a better environment.

Kafka may attract new animators or spare animators from I.G Port studios. However, WIT is gaining with this new work philosophy. A good studio is important, but so are the people who work in it. Shuhei Yabuta and Takahiko Abiru are talented, and they're in the right place.

If it's a new studio doing this I really hope this won't be another AoT situation where the new season will be a considerable downgrade from the previous one... the first season was amazing and I hope the second one will be as well.

So you don't fully understand my point. Maybe I didn't mention it, but I'll explain: yes, in fact the producers threw the project to another studio, but this project was being agreed three years before the end of the third season, that is, since the second season. they had decided that WIT would not liven up last season. This was said by the studio's own producers.

Also, you should consider the fact that WIT was a lot like what MAPPA is today: a name studio, but it took on too many projects to do. Aot was a project that caused a lot of problems for the animators, problems of having to sleep on the job, or getting sick. WIT was heavily criticized for making its animators work incessantly on this project.

Vinland Saga S2 was announced exactly 1 year after he announced that he will move from a freelancer at MADBOX(a company that is close to Madhouse, Wit Studio and MAPPA)to a full time employee at MAPPA. So he direct Inuyashiki when he’s still a freelancer.

Hiroya Hasegawa, an animation producer of Vinland Saga, is now working for Studio Kafka. He is credited as animation producer on the new Mahoutsukai no Yome OVA done by Kafka.

A month ago the director of Vinland Saga Shuhei Yabuta left this tweet which confirms Hasegawa is still the animation producer for the show: https://twitter.com/yabshu55/status/1443932442436390912

Haha thanks but I just kinda pick up and read some knowledge along the way. I am far from being any kind of authority on this subject.

I don't know answers to your questions. Your guesses are as good as mine. I don't see this as either good or bad news, so far. The key staff is the same as season one so the show should at least look and feel the same. But is studio Kafka as a new studio equipped to carry out Vinland production without major difficulties - I don't know. My feeling is that it should be fine as long as they aren't working on additional projects besides Vinland and get enough time. When will it air I also have no way of knowing. If I were to blindly guess I would say second half of next year (summer or autumn). There is still barely any info on this season to make any more concrete assumptions and predictions of these sorts.

Wit isn't returning. But most of the staff is remaining the same. So as long as they get a decent production schedule the quality should be as high as the first season since this season is supposedly not as action heavy as the previous one.

Most likely it's gonna be a collaboration between two studios one of whom will most likely be MAPPA.

Lmao they picked up Spy X Family didn't they? Did you forget Wit id owned by IG Port who made a profit of 87.8 million USD just last financial year? It is enough to pay off Wit's entire debt more than 10 times over.

Not to mention Vivy did pretty well in BR sales. Ousama Ranking is already a big hit in Japan(top 3 in almost every japanese anime ranking website for this season). There is also the Netflix movie 'Bubble', and the possible theatrical release of 'The Girl from the Other Side'. SxF will also bring in a lot of money as well.

that doesn't work like that buddy.800 million yen is still a big debt.
from IG POV Its actually a loss and btw if IG was lending support they wouldn't have dropped AOT.

What are you talking about? IG is still a part of AOT S4 production committee. Wit never wanted to be the studio known for making AOT in the first place. But since the first season became such a massive hit, they had to go through with the sequels (since their parent company was making a lot of profit from being in the production committee). Just so you know, they earned basically nothing from AOT compared to how labour intensive it was. But the schedule that they were offered for S4 was just impossible to accept for a small studio like them. If the producers hadn't rushed the final season I really think Wit would have done it.

Also Wit wasn't made to bring in huge amounts of profits for the owners. But running into large amounts of debts isn't ideal either so steps have been taken to improve the situation like IG now has a say in the management of Wit which wasn't there before. So you don't have to worry about Wit going bankrupt.

The biggest problem of Wit still is their production schedules but I'm hoping that the change in management at the top will change the situation for the better.
