It's not worth it. It'll obviously make you catch up faster but it's about the journey, not the destination.

Fast speed can change enjoyment depending on the person

Might as well not watch at all. How are you gonna understand anything watching in 1.5× speed.

There's a cut of the OP anime called One Pace where they cut the part where the anime stretches too much the scenes while keeping everything important intact and a good pacing.

watch this version if you to consume One Piece quickly, also skip ops, eds, recaps, Gold Roger legend at the beginning, etc...

Without Opening and Ending, 1 Episode is at x1,5 Speed 14 Minutes. So if you watch 35 Episodes per week thats 8,16h. If you start One Piece from the beginning you need approx. 29 weeks. In total its 9,7 Days of watching at 1,5x Speed. But if you start like it you don't want to watch One Piece so fast, so my suggestion is start it and try to enjoy the show if you don't like it you can drop it anyway :D

I think it's a good idea but i have been doing speed watching for a while i usually watch everything at 3 to 4 times the speed, rewatches 5 to 6 times sure it take a it of time to get used to it. I am cutrrently watching one piece at 4.5 times the speed (first time) so i can only recommend it, after a ehile duble speed will feel like normal speed and you saved A LOT of time so just try it out and if it isn't for you it isn't but if it is you might go up to 2 times the speed or even further who knows

Honestly watching it at a faster speed will affect how you feel. One piece has a lot of emotions shared and you might miss the opportunity to feel those feelings if your going to speed up the episodes then you shouldnt bother watching it

I FINISHED IT IN ONE MONTH UK. I USED TO WATCH 35 EPISODES PER DAY. AND SOME DAYS 40 EPISODES. AND I NEVER GOT BORED OF ANYTHING. I JUST WENT ON WITH THE FLOW. THEN I REGRETTED IT FOR NOT WATCHING ONE PIECE ALL THIS TIME. I THOT IT WAS BORING, I JUST USED TO IGNORE IT. AND THEN ONE DAY I SAW ONE FORM OF LUFFY, THEN I WAS LIKE OK LESS GO. LESS FINISH IT. SO, MAMA OVER IN 1 MONTH. WATCHED IT DURING BOARDS TIME.😅😅😅😅. And oh ya. I never skipped any episodes. Watched everything fillers and main alike.

That's sacrilegious as far as I'm concerned. Imagine all the impactful moments butchered at 1.5x. One Piece gives this expansive world and epic adventure to inmerse yourself, and you want to be done with it as quickly as possible. Why?

DO NOT WATCH ONE PIECE TO FINISH IT.

Watching One Piece at a much faster rate is such a terrible idea. You aren't enjoying the piece of media the way it should be ingested. Rather, you want to catch up and make yourself not feel worse about it.

Take your time watching One Piece, enjoy each and every single character that you see on screen. Of course you can skip filler but I'd rather watch the entirety of One Piece and enjoying it for what it truly is then watching shitty made movies for people who don't want to catch up the way the true fans did.

Do whatever you want but I'll recommend watching at normal speed if you want to enjoy not just complete it.

one piece is something you must enjoy ..if you can't it's not for you.
If you are so much interested and want to know
about story ..check out youtube review of each arc or read arc summary in one piece wiki or simply read manga

I'm reading the One Piece manga. I'd like to enjoy the anime as well, but it's very hard for me because the progress is terribly slow and there are irritating anime originals interspersed throughout. Making full use of the double speed and 1.5x speed functions reduces my stress considerably. Of course, there are times when I play it back at equal speed. It is important to match the anime to your own rhythm. Unlike manga, anime forces the viewer to follow the rhythm of the creator. With manga, you can read at your own rhythm. Anime, like manga, should be customized as much as possible so that you can enjoy it at your own rhythm.
