It looks like a little off-topic, but the description of this club suggests that anime watching metalheads are a rarity. In fact all my friends who watch anime are also metalheads. I'm serious. Among people I know personally, all anime fans are also metalheads without exception:) Do you think this is strange?
None besides me lol. I forced one of my friends to watch Elfen Lied and Higurashi though, and he did somewhat like them but he's not that keen to anime. But to Metal he really is, got me into Black Metal some years ago. \m/
No, it's not strange. Most of my anime-watching friends are also metalheads, but imho it's a special occasion. Because there are two kinds of anime watchers, and me and my friends are the open-minded and conscious ones. The other group is merely bishie-lover fangirl/fanboys and they love J-music. Unfortunately, the second group has more members. =)
mh... I know some metalheads that read manga but don't watch anime
and the rest anime watching friends does not listen to metal at all (maybe saying something like "Rammstein sounds cool" but that's all then)
Rest of friends are either non anime/manga
or non anime/manga and no metal.
So far the answers can be grouped in two. Salviati and shourisha being my real-life animetalhead friends, it seems Dark_Meteor and I can be considered lucky \m/.
I'm surrounded by a large group of J-rock loving fanboys/fangirls , I barely made a friend get a bit interested in anime...although I do know some, they are just few.
At most i know 1 one person who listens to real metal (not linkin park and claims they're metal heads) and i know one person who likes naruto if that counts -.-
i only know 2 persons beside me that watch anime, but they are just your average mainstream person^^
the metalheads i know don't hate anime but they aren't watching them either^^'
I know only one who listen to Extreme Metal and watching Anime...the other i know are all listen to bands like In Flames and other mainstream metal bands.
I knew one guy for a semester. I have another friend who used to like anime and likes metal now, but didn't like both at the same time. That's about it.
So few. I forced two of my school friends who listen metal to watch anime and succeed. Two years ago, I had forced them to listen metal, anyway. xD So, at the school, there are two person. And other than that, there is a lot, but I don't see them often or I just talk them through internet. Most of the person I know who watches anime listen rock, not metal.
The two anime watchers I knew during high school were into the music that "generic" anime watchers are into; i.e. Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, that kind of stuff.
However, my friend who is into Japanese film plays in a shoegazing doom metal (I shit you not) band... so yeah.
Other than myself I don't really know any ani-metalheads. My best friend kinda counts, but he's strictly a power metal fan. Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, Rhapsody and those types of bands. My other anime watching friends vary from listening to only country to only listening to mainstream metal bands.

Ehm, actually, most of my friends are otakus/metalheads at the same time, but my best friend listens to techno - which I hate with passion. Oh well, what can I do with her :D
