Nope, the linux version of Civ 5 actually has a problem with 16 threads. Luckily there was an option in the civ 5 config in which I could set the max threads from 8 to 16 and now it's working just fine :3

I'm not too knowledgeable on that, but rendering cg takes a lot of cpu power and time. Even just the whirlpool of the final showdown against the flying dutchman in PotC 3 took half a year to render on their render farm for example :3

Indeed I did. I spent most of my time messing around with the vagrant configuration to see if I could take the vendor folder out of the vagrant synchronisation so it wouldn't take a full hour just to update my dependencies, but that didn't go so well. I did manage to do it, but that meant either I had to reinstall the dependencies every time I boot vagrant, or that the vendor folder isn't synchronised at all meaning the IDE breaks... I did at least verify that doing so speeds the website itself up quite a bit too :3

Aside from that I just messed around a little with detecting tor network requests because why not, and I watched the latest ep of dororo and the first ep of OPM 2 :3

When developing with vagrant you're essentially running a server in a VM and developing on the host machine while automatically syncing the files in both directions. And due to the sheer number of files in the vendor folder, updating those on either side results in a lot of IO time being wasted on the syncing :3

The story so far was nothing all that interesting, but the art/animation was quite painful to watch even ignoring the quality of the first season :3

As long as it's not so big that you can't put it down anywhere :3

My project itself isn't the problem so far, but composer is a bit like npm which installs a ton of dependencies in the vendor folder, and that folder is quite large :3
Even if we just count symfony itself without any of the other bundles and dependencies and take a look at the insights tab on github it says "On master, 1,471 files have changed and there have been 17,274 additions and 5,039 deletions." and that's just the stuff that's changed in the past few days, let alone the total file count xD

In php reflection can be used occasionally, I think I even did at one part of my little project. But in those cases they're usually only used for something development related to make it easier :3
There can be some rare legitimate use cases though provided you make sure to limit it for performance reasons xD

Yep, this particular box comes preinstalled with a whole host of things. Git, php 7.1/2/3, nginx, mysql, db snapshots, sqlite3, postgres, composer, nodejs (with some libraries), redis, memcached, xdebug, go and then there's still the optional things and a bunch of things I don't know :3

Doing fine I guess. In the weekend I just played some more stellaris with me friend. That darned federation decided to focus their main army on my border so I wasn't able to hold it, but in the end we managed to push them back while my friend was conquering them from the west and we beat them. Meanwhile the federation to the south is gathering an army on my south border... I'm getting the feeling they don't like me xD

Other than that I played some more piano, simulwatched kara no kyoukai 3, watched some weekly anime and yesterday I finished kore wa zombie desu ka :3

Yep. A piece of the territory of the former leader of the federation still stands, but the other 2 factions have been wiped of the map. As for the guys north of me who kept declaring war on me, they've been reduced to slaves :3
At first it was only a huge debt I got from it because I got too many space stations from them. So I disassembled those and built ones only on the border. I also managed to upgrade them to citadel class which means my currently strongest fortress on the south border facing off against the next federation is about 30k strong and still upgrading xD

It was pretty enjoyable I guess. Things escalated quite quickly in the first ep though :3
And the favourite girl would be eucliwood I guess? Maybe the crazy one? The other ones were all pretty boring :3

From what I know there are a number of crisis' that may happen based on certain criteria like finishing a particular research and what not, but there's also a crisis which can always trigger as long as none of the other ones have :3
Indeed, but at least it means there's a smaller chance that the enemy will be able to declare war on me. That and the defensive pact I've formed with my friend who's feared by pretty much the whole galaxy probably help :3
