the news at this point is so overwhelming that r/kpop is past its tenth megathread now, and that's not even delving into the politicians and higher up corporate people who are involved, we are just leaking celebrities now, those are the "small" fish? how deep does the rabbit hole go, and how can they somehow bleed the vein dry to try and oust everyone whos involved with this corruption
probably can't, but you can dream. if the former president of sk got impeached for corruption you can hope they'd do the same with any officials who are involved in this as well

the politicians and higher-ups will probably find a way to get off scott free, but it's up to the Korean public now to actually protest and push for some justice now. International fans and news can help a big deal but at the end of the day it's up to the nation's people to strive for justice in this case.

i hate myself, i don't like social gatherings. i can't smile in photos even if my fucking life depended on it which makes me feel awkward and self-conscious taking photos, which is what ppl do 90% of the time at such events.
i feel like i might be boring and others don't really care about me.

don't feel awkward in social gatherings, even if you have to be in them just remember to be yourself and fuck what anyone else thinks.

yeah everyone wants to take pics together but that's what we do during that time (hell even i fake a smile to get through it) but don't worry about being boring or not being good enough for someone else. You are who you are and you're doing your best, which is what you should do, whenever you go to a social gathering, just remember hey the people around me have problems too, at the worst you could just talk about what's wrong with your life, no one is perfect and everyone is allowed to speak on their issues.

@EratiK - social gathering could be lots of stuff like a party or a trip to some place. in this case it was the first day of the collegefest at my college. it's similar to annual day in some places, people come in traditional clothes, there's decorations, dance performances in the auditorium, food stalls, a DJ place where people can dance etc.
tomorrow is something similar in the morning with a concert in the evening. i'm planning to just go for the concert since i think i'll enjoy that at least.

i could avoid social gatherings like you say but the thing is i want to be able to go and enjoy such things. i just don't though.

people getting more attention than you is just them doing more to try and impress, and since you don't want to dance crazy shows that you're the cooler two step guy.

even if you want to get into the fun sometimes maybe it's not for you, maybe it's better to just chill in the dorm. Not everyone is ready for those parties so it's not worth it to go to them and try if it's not worth it.

I get the trying to make efforts to better yourself part, but I also feel the way you approach this is kind of warped. Like calling all these events social gatherings. Just because people get together doesn't make it social. Like you don't have to enjoy things the way the crowd does. Just finding one thing you like about the event if often enough. For example parties have alcohol, fests have food stalls, etc. Nobody forces you to hang around for hours. You say you're jealous of people getting attention (whatever that means), but you're forgetting one key factor as to why events are great in general. The sweet sweet anonymity of it.
