Excessive fillers 12. The end still seems a long way off 13. Dub is so horrendously crappy 14. Ninjas do not wear orange or duke it out DBZ style 15. Jutsus that do not even follow the concept of a "ninja" anymore 16. Excessive milking of the 'Naruto' franchise I watch Naruto, but am also starting to get disappointed at the direction the show/manga is taking lately. See points 3, 5, 6, 14, and 15. |

| Same reason people hated Pokemon. Because it's one of those shows that becomes immediately popular. The next huge thing. All you ever see and hear is Naruto this and Naruto that, Naruto commercials, merchandise,etc. It annoys some while other believe that other animes should be getting more attention. I love Naruto but don't get me wrong. It may be one of my top favorites but It will never compare to the good oldies. Cowboy Bebop, DBZ, Trigun, Ruroni Kenshin, Naruto will never take their place in my heart. |

| Well i don't hate it or think its the best anime ever. Naruto is a cool anime to enjoy. same with the manga 2. I like naruto. Its a cool anime. The thing the made me angry is when Sasuke left kohona. So that kinda gives u an idea. and if u watch the trailer 4 the 4th movie. u will see why i stopped watching it. Casue i already know what happens. I'll still watch it. But when the ending comes around. I will already know what happens anyways.But i'm reading the manga from vol. 25 :P  |

I wouldn't know myself but I guess someone can confirm it: If it's true then it's pretty obvious that people will hate thisanime. ===================== Welcome to the world that edges on idiocy, where each and every NINJA reveals each and every secret, exhibicionism roams wild and unchecked, and the one with sadder past always wins. Naruto is a series that will come to my mind EVERY single time I'll hear the proverb about 'milking the cow until she dries'. Well, my dears, this cow is long DEAD, so could You please stop milking it? While Naruto had terrific initial premise, it needed only 13 episodes to reveal all the ugly features it has. Sadly, at the time everyone thought it was accidental, and won't repeat anymore. Many persons spoke volumes about the similarities this and Dragonball or Hunter X Hunter share. Those voices were enough to make sure I'll never watch neither of aforementioned series. Naruto was for me dreadful enough experience. This is a series that targets very young audience, and it helps if You are new to anime. But even with those qualities around episode 70, You will most likely get bored. Because saying that Naruto DRAGS almost every fighting, is such an understatement, like saying that white is not exactly the same color as black. One single fight in Naruto is, in fact, a whole show. We get to know the attacker because he kindly introduces himself, a thing that every single decent ninja should do, since ninja are supposed to live in shadows and carry such missions as assasinations or espionage (how many spies and assasins have introduced themselves to You today?). We get to know the defender, since he - being an decent ninja himself, couldn't possibly leave such kindness his attacker displayed go wasted, so he introduces himself as well. If, by some accident, those introductions cannot be made by actual sides of conflict, they are made by VIEWERS. Now come on, every fight must have viewers - bystanders, who CONVENIENTLY happen to know who attacker is, what is he (in)famous for, and what his favourite dish is. They always are happy to provide those information for You at least ten times, so don't worry that You'll be allowed to forget a thing! Next we have some little chitchat, were attacker and defender settle down and are explaining their motives and actions. What did You expect? They are both ninja's after all, they're supposed to be secretive. When all is explained and the actual fighting might begin, we have the end of the episode. Don't worry, after ending song, preview of next episode, opening song we are back to the moment of first meeting. Which means that introductions, bystander's 10 times repeated monologue - often in thoughts - about the attacker's (and/or defender's) fame and abilities (and dish! don't forget the dish!) and the explanations of motives will happen again. Around the middle of NEW episode the fight starts. After few strikes and jutsus we have a stop and explanations - done by (of course) bystanders, who simply cannot shut their mouths up (they wouldn't get paid if they did, now would they?). In other words, all is explained - and commented by: a teacher of side A (or B) a friend (of boths sides most likely) another friend yet another friend of another friend a third party (with it's own personal reasons, of course those are also secretive in Naruto's meaning of the word and thus are 'spared us') a dog (or a frog, or a pig) - after all why not? a InsertAnyoneHere - so many people gave their explanation on what happened or commented it, why shouldn't he do it as well, few lines more or less won't really make a difference After all is explained tenthfold we are back to fighting. Well, actually no, first the attacker will explain what he plans to do. Common sense! When You fight someone You have to warn him where and how You'll strike or fight won't be succesfull for You! Now try THAT with local thug and he'll be defeated for sure (he will die from laughing)! After this explanation is given the defender must carefully repeat it, and try to think of every possible *useless* solutions. Just when he lists them all and decides they are all useless, and this he's in a bad situation, the attacker declares that he begins and... there is the end of an episode of course. BUT! don't worry, right after the ending song and the preview of next episode... And in case You might overlook it for first ten times, and try to enjoy anime still, it goes on that way forever. |

| Don't see why people actually might not like naruto when they like shounen series. I didn't find naruto bad, I actually thought that the characters were good, nice animations, interesting story and good music. There were a bunch of bad fillers but they started after the whole main plot ended so you didn't need to watch them exactly. Unfortunately Shippuuden seems to lack a bit of the awesomeness the first series had and it's a bit slow paced. |
| Mostly because of the seemingly endless dreadful fillers and lack of progression for the male protagonist. But as for me, I think Naruto is a pretty neat shounen anime, well at least before the Chuunin exam ended and all, then it went downhill. And sadly Shippuuden didnt make up for the fillers as well, in fact if any, it even deteriorated imo. A good example would be Orichimaru and Naruto's fight, one of the slowest fights Ive ever watched and if it wasnt for the first appearance of the kyubi's 4th tail form during a fight, I can even consider it as one of the worst fights Ive watched in my frame of reference. |

| I like Naruto, it's entertainable and sometimes I just want something that is easy to follow. The fillers are annoying, but I just skip those, so no problem there. Shippuuden is another thing though. They were allready going slow, and now the fillers... It's beyond annoying. |

| The Naruto Fanboys/Girls are the ones who've made me hate the show. They go around saying that it's the best show ever made and nothing is better. Wish they could just try watching some good shows so they have something to compare with and realise that Naruto is just show with a half-bad story about a whiny brat. | I too don't hate Naruto, its just that I think its not for my age. Maybe if I was still in my early teens I would like it. Saw a few episodes of it before, it was fun to watch at first but it did not really interest me in the long term for me. Did not bother investing in DVDs or watching it on TV either. |
