MAL with the muy mal taste as usual

This was great.
Maybe it would have gotten a higher rating if it was a kawaii monster girl "salesman" instead.

Or if it were a Gintama sequel.

I didn't enjoy watching people very predictably ruin themselves for 20+ minutes with absolutely zero twists (seriously, you can predict what's gonna happen and how it'll end just from the first 20 seconds of each skit). Maybe if the art was better... but as it is, I'm off this ride.

That was good!
I actually enjoyed these personages getting "punishment". They obviously were on wrong path (well, OL was; first guy was rather pushed but still). MC is a mere hyperbolic metaphor for a real life outcome so I don't care much about flaws in his methods.
This show is really didactic as it claimed. It might be more of use for young adults than for teens or matured. I personally know a bunch of guys who I could recommend that kind of show.

"Watch out. This is a trap. This is a trap someone luring you into. This is a trap you build for yourself. Can't you hear a laugh?"

More about actual episode.
- I thought Moguro was gonna skin her :) a little horror would spice up story a little ^_^
- Loved character design (especially in second part). Reminded me Osomatsu-san (second season is confirmed, yay!)

Btw, does anyone else find that Warau Salesman resembles manga Yamikin Ushijima-jun? :D

So this guy finds weak-willed people and gives them enough rope to hang themselves. Thanks Japan.

Originally I was sketchy about watching this since the salesman's design creeped me out (it's why I didn't, and still won't, watch Youjo Senki) but I gave it a chance and was actually pretty enjoyable. The OP and ED are imaginative and flow very well to.

My only fear is because of the episodic nature, it could get very stale very quickly. I've seen it happen before.

Last episode = I could just pay to make myself look worse and pay to get robbed and killed so that the effects can reverse and make me even better than before.(The girl didn't return to her previous self, she got worse when she bought things to better herself, so if I buy services to worsen myself, I will get even better.)

Checkmate, Mr. Salesman.

The first episode was pretty good. Despite the two segments' stories being predictable, it was nice seeing how the characters would handle their desires once Moguro granted them.

I wonder how many episodes the series will have.

I am a big fan of the original series before the remake came. i discovered it in 2015 due to it being mentioned in a gamesack episode, and LOVED it! it was truly incredible, like nothing i had ever seen before. it was quite hilarious in a wicked way too. i have been watching every episode that got translated since(so far, out of 103 episodes, there are 26 episodes translated, each 10 minutes, and a 2 part special). I learned of the remake recently, but had exams until today so i wasnt able to watch it until now.

I just watched the 1st episode, and i discovered that the 1st part of the episodes are remakes of older episodes too. so,i will be posting my thoughts on the new episodes, the major changes they make from the old ones, and what i think about those changes. hope you guys enjoy . here we go!

-each episode is now normal length with two separate stories. interesting. guess they had to because of the TV time slots.

-the VA of the laughing salesman in the remake is FAR inferior to the VA in the original series. when you listened to the original opening monologue you truly felt you were in front of a VERY sinister, smart, and dangerous person. the new one sounds like he is trying, but he is failing miserably. this sucks, since the LS's voice was incredibly memorable in the original

-we now have an opening song, where as the original didnt. while that is good,i always felt the opening monologue was a good replacement for an opening song in the original show, especially considering how it was the same each episode,so i didnt feel the need for an opening. still, cool to have one.

-a main issue i have with the remake is that it uses TOO MUCH color. a big part of the original's charm and greatness is how dark and moody everything felt, which fit the show perfectly. the new one has way too much colors that the great mood is much reduced. everything feels too..."normal"now.

-the first part of the 1st episode is a remake of episode 12 of the original show. not sure why they didnt do episode 1 instead.

-in the original, the LS takes him to the daydream club. here, his coworker takes him. i was really bothered by this. the LS should always be front and center with his victims. here, this victim would have visited the club with or without the LS and he simply got caught in the trap the LS made for his friend(who btw was way more center stage here) by coincidence. this is a really stupid change imo.

-also,in the original we are actually shown both how hard working/serious he is and a valid reason as to why he agreed to go with the LS. here it is only a quick mention that he is a "serious guy",and he goes because"mysterious great place". another bad change.

-it is explicitly stated in the original that the "beautiful Koko"only works the day shift. here it was left up to the interpretation of the viewer. though minor,a positive for the remake.

-Using an episode that had a "Double DOOM Finger" as the first episode to remake was a bit of a mistake imo. in the original he only used one finger for the first few episodes,so when he used two it either felt like a natural progression or it surprised you and was a "Damn! 0_0"moment. here, that fun is completely gone.

-they were fired by the boss in the original. here they werent even punished. that much lessens the impact of what the LS did. also, they were much funnier as drunks in the original.

-minor differences include the victim's age(26 originally, 29 here)and the amounts of money requested and paid(30000/398000 originally,10000/498000 here)

overall,it was obvious that, for this episode, the original was far superior. we will see if that continues.

the 2nd part of the episode wasnt a remake.

-she used that card without a single objection, even though it seemed like the most obvious scam in the world. in the original series, people would talk in doubt about LS's offer if it is even half as obvious as that. she didnt even ask him any question.

-i quite liked her fate. it was quite in tone with the original series. i was afraid they would do mild punishments, but they didnt. a big thumps up there.

will continue posting my thoughts and hope people enjoy them, and hopefully some of you get interested in watching the original series too :)

PS:For those saying"I could make myself look worse",you would have to know this would happen. she never expected this to be the result, since she didnt know that he had magic powers, and i am sure he took the card from her before she woke up so she cant do that in the future.

I liked this show, its was cute and simple. I mean, it wasn't spectacular, but I'm actually surprised by its low ratings here. I didn't think it was that bad, though, I'm only on episode 3 as of writing this.
The set ups were fun to watch, and even though the outcomes were pretty underwhelming, I still couldn't predict them! For example:

I like to think that Mr. Salesman here isn't the devil in disguise, but a guy who genuinely believes he's doing good, and just trying to make lives better. I know that's not cannon to the show at all, but it's still humorous to think about.
