| Hi Could anyone please help me with card making. I still couldn't get the technique in designing graphics such as the cards I have here. I have already explored a few essential tools and menus such as the layer mask and blending options but I still couldn't get the results that I visualize. |

I wasn't able to create something close to those that I've posted. well the main thing i'd say is to add more textures, use brushes and shapes (with blending modes on them), and work on your textography (mainly just stop using stroke for everything; explore outer glow and drop shadow too). As for textures i suggest looking for deviantart packages you might like, and try them on overlay/soft light/screen blending modes. Another important thing is to add masks on the textures and erase parts with a softer brush that you don't need. As for brushes i suggest using soft light or high pass. High pass is very useful especially when you want to make the eyes or hair pop on the image. I hope this advice works; i wish i could give some examples but on phone rn but it's hard to xD you may also look at some of my work if needed; if you have any more questions just ask me :o i've been doing this hobby for about a year now xd here |
