Tsukasa dipping on everyone that tried to talk to him was hilarious 🤣🤣

And I’m intrigued by that monster at the end cuz that Crimson Knight sure as hell was surprised too!

Honestly I'm glad I started this anime. It looks so strange yet so appealing. I don't like the main character so far, but I did enjoy everything they presented. A very strange begining indeed.

haha, i was watching this and at first I was like what's going on man?? But this anime feels so quiet, it's almost peaceful. Towards the end of the episode it hooked me though. They just wanted a cat avatar is that SO MUCH TO ASK??

I started watching this series more than 20 years ago, and only watched the first 4 episodes on DVD, so I didn't remember much about it. But it has come back to me. We're introduced to pretty much all the main characters, though we don't know too much about them. Our protagonist is a little ass, while Mimiru seems to want to help. Bear also seems like an interesting character. We're also briefly introduced to BT and then there's Subaru, who seems to be something like a system admin. The Crimson Knights appear to be some kind of moderators. As you can guess, this series is one of the earliest shows in which the characters are playing on an MMORPG (Sword Art Online is probably the better known series), but Tsukasa, the protagonist, can't log out. He's also being pursued by the Crimson Knights because he knows something about the cat-faced edited player, which is not allowed on The World. This episode pretty much just establishes the world and Tsukasa's situation, but we don't know a lot yet. However, it looks like Tsukasa is stuck in The World because of a medical emergency in the real world. His mind is in the game, not his body. I like Mimiru, but I don't see how Tsukasa is a likeable character yet. Visually, this is a very attractive show. Great character designs and very good animation for an early 2000s show. The music, though, is top notch. I'm a big fan of Kajiura's, and this series introduced me to her, See-Saw, and FictionJunction. The opening and ending theme songs are excellent. The music in the show is also incredible, and it includes vocals. Some of the music is very reminiscent of some MMORPGs I played years ago. Overall, I think this was a good introduction to the series, but some of the dialogue seemed unnatural, and not a good first impression of Tsukasa.
