| Ok so I am reading Naoki Urasawa's manga 20th century boys at the moment and I must tell you - IT IS ADDICTING and SPLENDIDLY WRITTEN. Each chapter ends with a slight development and lot of questions. I have not read Monster but I am assuming the storytelling must be similar. Monster as a anime fails in truly adapting the manga because in 23 minutes it cover too much of the source so to try to keep the excitement the pace went slow and in the middle I was also bored with the cat and mouse chase b/w Tenma and Liebert but in 2oth century boys the same chase b/w Kenji and"friend" is intriguing. |
