| Which visual novels were not worth playing through? |
| Princess Evangile and ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two are at the bottom of my list. The prior because it was a contrived premise with no single hook anywhere in the story, and the only fun character didn't have a route. Despite my dislike for big-oppai blondes, whatsherface with the ferret pet was way more interesting than all the other girls. The latter because I couldn't give any less of a shit about a romance with a cast of Stalins and Hitlers. |

| Sakura series. Or non-Japanese VNs in general - almost all of those are shit-tier copypasta from JP VNs. You can count exceptions on your fingers. Asking such question here is a bad idea tough, because people will just list perfectly random titles, regardless of their quality. I mean, one of the best visual novels out there was already mentioned in the very first reply, because the characters apparently somehow resembled dictators, which isn't even remotely sensible... -.-' |
| the worst one iv played was synphonic rain it was so god damn boring and the writing was a mess alot of people seem to like it thouge i have no clue why i could only bring myself to play one route for it the other routes migth be better and dont get me started on the stupid mini game atleast there was a option for it to auto play |

Successful visual novels can still be bad but not the worst. |

| Generally any of the ones that are just an ero dating sim. The few that I've tried because of friend recommendation have usually bored me to tears. |
| I don't usually play visual novels but when I do, I expect them to be good because it has to be some noteworthy stuff to grab my attention. And from my experience, I have to say that Virtue's Last Reward and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 are the worst visual novels I've ever played. |

| Anything that's translated. hurr hurr, elitism. Hanahira, Sakura Spirit, Go Go Nippon, Totono, and Katawa Shoujo were all pretty abysmal from what I can remember of them. I try to avoid most of the garbage that's out there since my backlog for good eroge is already so damn massive. |
