Best show ever. Music and animation are obviously entertaining, but the story's amazing too.

Music is good. That's everything so far. I see many small details, and I understand that I'll be able to understand this masterpiece after 1343252 rewatches, but so far I don't like anything besides music. It's rare for me to dislike voice acting and designs, but I really don't like them

Much worse in all regards compared to the first episode. A pile of disjointed scenes for a large part of it. Fight scene drawn out to a slog.

That was beautiful. The robot flying off was a breathtaking experience; the moment had an ethereal quality to it which I don't think I've ever felt from an anime before. The fight was very high-octane as well.
I think I'm beginning to understand what this anime is about. I'm probably going to sound stupid to people who has rewatched this show many times, but here's my interpretation of a line:

When you're on a bike, the ocean's a lot closer than you think. The autumn salt wind went right through into the back of my nose and maybe it's because, like Haruko said, my head was empty.

This quote from Naota is an example of FLCL being like literature to me: if you look at it literally and try to put it into the context of the show, it makes no sense. Oceans don't get closer when you are on bikes. However, it clearly conveys a lot of meaning. Why else would this line be included?
The way I see it, it represents how childhood makes everything seem more vivid: when your head is empty, everything is interesting and you focus a lot more on physical sensations and simple joys.

So she was responsible for the fire that was caused a few years ago.

I wonder how their relationship is going to change from this point on.
