I think stag phone remind me more to the zecter. If heat can be use to activate stag then i wonder if they can henshin by using the stag gaia memory (it'll probably turned into half gatack). And... I think toriga is better than trigger (at least when i say it). Instead of worrying about the character, i'm more worried for the fact that the show would be "case of the fortnight" (similar to den-o) format. |

I thought it's written RUNA TORIGA we can go on doing this but SAIKURON is the one that we shouldnt use. Wonder why they use the Japanese pronunciation for the enemy and not for the hero... and also how they will pronounce anomalocaris (dunno if i spell it right) since it's quite a mouthful to say it |

Episode 5: I really like the plot we got going on here. A girl who looks up to Kamen Rider as a father? Pretty unique. I actually really liked the bit where Phillip got stuck in a trash can. Normally, that'd be a subplot I'd utterly despise, but it was done in a not too over-the-top fashion plus the actor really made it work. Akiko grated less on my nerves this episode, but that may be because she didn't have much screentime. I also really enjoyed the RC racing bit, although once the owners of the property were introduced, it became all too clear who the assassins were. Thankfully, the writers didn't feel the need to insult our intelligence and pretty much revealed it right away. And a really unique kaijin this episode. I don't think I've ever heard of that creature before... |

@6 No Wakana in this episode. T_T Luna did what everyone expected [3] though I am kinda dissapointed with its finisher. I was hoping for somethin more flashy and deadly looking. Still wonder if there are going to be new finishers with other combinations. The jetski-like bike was also expected. I wonder why Phil doesn't go to his bed when he henshins. It would be more confortable. And lying unconscious inside W's ridron is kinda stupid. I think that now Akiko learned that she shouldn't be standing there. I also found the giant anomalocaris was a bit off. It was thre just to give W the opportunity to use splasher, unlike the T-Rex. Nazca is cool, and even though it was brief, the fight was cool. Kikaider's fireballs are dangerous. If W wasn't composed of two people he wouldn't be able to perform that kamikaze attack. I think it was very cool that they can share the damage, at least when it comes to fatigue, both mental an physical. I don't know if Phil can be physically harmed. Waking people up with vinegar is kinda mean. But Akiko showed her wit again. And she learned another thing: never pay lunch fpr Santa and info dealer. Next episode's title: Phillip can't wait for that. And Phil seems to be with a girl. I think I know what he can't wait for XD I want to watch the prologue tha comes wit DCD's movie soon. So far W has the best start in all the heisei KR I've watched. |

Yep same here the finisher is a bit disappointing, but i think if they put enemy with flying ability or super agility the finisher would look better. Anyway i can't even think of a cool finisher with ranged weapon. If I'm double i really want to hit it with metal branding instead. So now i see why they call the memory as NAZCA. I have to agree NAZCA is cool, shame that he got his ass kicked too early. I still don't get how he escape from being hit by multiply fireball (and explode). Ok now it's official that Dopant do looks like Orphenoch in term of body modification ability. Some questions... So wassup with the exploding factory in the end again? Is it me or Shotaro gave anomalocaris chance to actually kidnap the little girl? Are Saeko and Kazuma share the same office building? Next episode: Is that Sonozaki's pet in action? I agree that it has one of the best start, but im worry that the writer will run out of idea and start filling it up with bad material. Too bad we have to wait for the movie till next year... Really want to see the skull Rider |

Nazca didn't loose. It was a tie. Both him and W lost their transformations. They took massive damage. Since the guy failed, Saeko decided they weren't going to use the factory and blew it up to eliminate evidence. Let's hope that they have a lot of good ideas. |

6 was good. I kind of the dig the cartoony CG. The episode was a nice pickup after a very depressing day. Sigh. Agreed. Luna/Trigger finisher was a bit of a letdown. Nazca is awesome. |

I don't find the CG that bad. I mean they are doing a weekly TV show. They have a tight budget and a tight schedule. Its not like they are Peter Jackson filming a blockbuster trilogy with 285 million dollars during 274 days... That also brings some freshness to the show. Its not only hte basic fight and finisher. I just think that the anomalocaris memory shouldn't be able to do that. The anomalocaris isn't huge. The T-Rex memory was ok, because it was pretty much a head that gave the power to form the whole T-Rex. Hope you have a nicer day tomorrow, boss (or s it today? different time zones...) |

Well to be fair he did not lose, but it was not really a good debut fight for him though. Typically the stronger enemy would overwhelm the hero in their first fight. Moreover i was expecting more from Nazca. So that's what happened to the factory. For some reason i was a bit lost there Bad CG, fake explosive and miniature is always part of tokusatsu. I love those stuffs than high budget CG or action. Is just that if they rely too much on CG and forgetting other effects the show wouldn't be good (need more real explosion). I think i've heard that the director of Ultraman says that, Why do we need to make fake things real while the viewer already knew that they were fake? (i think that's kinda what he said, correction is much appreciated) Episode 6 fight was good because they bring out new idea to KR series. Hope that they would have a Gaia Memory for flying so that we could have an aerial battle (without the motor). |

@m4rc0: I didn't say it was bad. I liked it! My thoughts were basically this: henshinkamen said: Why do we need to make fake things real while the viewer already knew that they were fake? (i think that's kinda what he said, correction is much appreciated) I felt the way they stylized the big monster was pretty cool and better than if they had tried to make it more realistic. It was pretty smooth and well-animated too. =D It's been a stressful couple weeks, but today was a pretty good day, and I think I can get through this. Thanks! |

Episode 6: I actually really like the Jet-ski fight. It's a very welcome change of pace in a Kamen Rider show, and hey, any excuse to keep on using the bike is a good one. Nasubi and Santa's scene was great, just to simply see Nasubi overreact over something delicious again (if you've seen Denpa Shonen, you know what I'm talking about). Ah, so the belts mean they're commanders. Awesome, question answered. The departure scene with the daughter was actually really sweet and kinda made me feel a little bummed, too. Clichéd, but surprisingly effective. |

henshinkamen said: I think i've heard that the director of Ultraman says that, Why do we need to make fake things real while the viewer already knew that they were fake? (i think that's kinda what he said, correction is much appreciated) IMO that depends. If you can do something like Star Wars or LotR, you should do it. It helps to create the atmosphere and helps the with the "suspension of disbelief". But yes, if you can't, there is no need to spend too much money trying to. But then you should at least stylize it and make it look good. The guys in Japan know how to do it. THe chinese toku producers, not so much. And boss, I misunderstood you. My bad. I read so many people bashing the CGI in W that I was kinda paranoid. |

@7 I wonder what the people tha bashed Akiko because she got in Shota's way sometimes are going to say about Phil getting in the way of the investigation... I wonder if the cat could smell Phil or something. Because otherwise it would be a huge coincidence. The cat is strong. I like how his hands form a saber tooth's head when he makes a hadouken pose. I don't like the coincidentes in this episode. Phil is learning how to dance and finds a locked book. Then there is a case involving a person that can do the move... So W can start in ohter forms. Cool. And its pretty clear why he doesn't de-henshins when the kaijin took his memories. If he did, he would also de-henshin while changing memories. Shota is a pretty well-connected guy. Phil is quite a hindrance when he acts like that. But that has already been show in the takoyaki reading in the first ep. This episode was very funny. The jokes with Phil and the cop were good. Ryuta must be proud of Phil. |

"Nice Boke!" Highlight of the episode, imo. Just something wasn't right... Maybe it was the thing with Phil, the investigation this time, the villain, the pacing... I dunno. Just not as cool as usual. The random dance in the school field. BLAH. |

"Nice Boke!" - priceless indeed. Akiko is very funny. Yes, BAH. But kinda understandable. He was trying to reach the girl's feelings with their dance. Kinda lame, but very shounen-esque. I liked the episode. Didn't find it very different from the others in terms of quality. |

+A funny and entertaining episode. A few things on W system are confirmed. +But find it a bit messy than usual. Too many things happened and added some random stuffs. Aww... I really want that cat (of course with the memory). Another good kaijin. Firippu thinks that Similodon is a commander, i wonder what would he think if he found that he's just a cat. I don't know why but i think showing 2 kaijins with similar ability is kinda... I suppose this enemy is more suitable as Runa Toriga debut. Random dance in the school??? A phone was flying to you and you answered it while you're about to finish a giant cockroach. Not your typical superhero. Still wondering how Firippu and Akiko jumped from that bridge. One of the girl shotaro met caled Queen. Shotaro himself is the Joker, I suppose if we would have Ace, King and Jack we would have JAKQ perhaps? (another of ishinomori creation). Dunno why but i feel that this series would have some parody of older tokusastu show. Talking about the skull rider for the new movie and kikaider look of double plus the scarf revival on the franchise. |

Unless there is a king and an ace I think its just us overthinking it. I don't think the kikaider look of Heat Toriga is intentional. The colors are reversed too. But yes, the scarf is being revived. |

Nope not hito and toriga, double himself is the kikaider look. Well the new memory that double use might remind us to something though... although i don't think it's intentional. Well you're right that i over thinking that one... BTW i don't really get what is a Boke and how does it apply to that scene? The "walk into a wall" gag is pretty common for Japanese boke comedians. XD Speaking of Japanese comedians, W has had quite a few... The detective who massags/scratches himself, Mikio Jinno, is one (Nadagi Takeshi). Watcherman, the guy with the long face and the crazy curly hair is another. That's Nasubi! I've seen him playing an otaku in a few dramas, like Densha Otoko. I'm sure there's more, but those are the two I recognized right away. However, the actor playing episodes 7-8's Dopant is one of my absolute FAVE comedians: Katagiri Jin! He's one half of the comedy duo The Rahmens who some people might know from the Japanese Mac vs PC commercials, or from the "Japanese Tradition" series of spoof videos (all of which you can video on YouTube). The best known of those is the sushi one. Katagiri is the guy with pulled-back long hair and the glasses. The other half of the Rahmens is the "star" of the sushi video, who sits next to him (Kobayashi Kentaro). Needless to say, I am VERY EXCITED for episode 8! XD So, yeah, once you know about the comedian thing, you can understand the "boke" comment, and why Akiko is such a boke all the time. XD |

Episode 7: Never thought I'd live to see the day when a character wears a Tupac shirt in a Kamen Rider show. Gokistar's a lot like Kira from Death Note come to think of it....sans the man-sized cockroach part. When Phillip started to dance, I hope I wasn't the only person expecting the Climax Jump rap to start playing...an odd coincidence considering that the Den-O movies were pushed at the very end of the episode. Elizabeth's gonna get on my nerves....I like Queen, though. Geez, how many connections does Shotaro have...and where do they get their info from? |

Maybe they get their info through a japanese version of gossip girl XDDDDDD But hey, you know how it is, the teenagers somehow a world of their own. Since Shota is too old to be in their circles, he needs people with info from the inside. Episode 8: Katagiri Jin! Katagiri Jin! WEEEEEEEEE!!! XD (First time I have ever been excited to see an actor appear in a Kamen Rider series. Usually it's the other way around: seeing a Kamen Rider act in another series), The dance-fighting was awesome! Loved the fight choreography this episode. Though it was ridiculous how Dango actually lifted W over his head, seemingly effortlessly. Philip has ADHD and OCD, seriously. XD Next episode (which won't air until November 8): Confrontation with the villains behind the villains at their home base? Sweeeeet. |

@8 That part with the girl behaving like she was drawn in the manga was very cool. Otakus are dangerous. Seiji is the man. Awesome coreaography. But I find it hard to believe that the boy could lift W... Sharivan/Spielban became a lolicon teacher. Did you guys see how he was groping the girl in her swimsuit? XDDDDDD The episode had its comedy moments but overall was a bit lame with that plot about the dancing duo... They revealed their identities unnecessarily. If Nazca decides to pay the otaku a visit, he would have W in his hands. If it was only Phil, I wouldn't mention it, because the sonozaki already know of him. They might have footage of Shota form when he freed Phil, but its possible that they don't know who he is so he could try to stay incognito. Next episode we'll have more Wakana and Saeko. And maid Aki-chan XDDDDDD |

ep 8 The fighting scene is a bit off cuz double dancing while fighting does not really match his style, regardless Seiji did execute that action scene well. Well at last runa toriga did fulfill it's appropriate use to more suitable enemy. Lol, otaku are indeed dangerous... but does it include us? I did not notice about the lolicon scene and i already forgot about sharivan... Heaven's Tornado is a bit impossible to do and yeah normal KR weight around 90Kg (i dunno bout W but most of them are around that). I'm guessing that that Nazca guy will be divorced (replaced) soon... Not really an exciting episode especially if you don't have any speaker or headset to listen to... |

Episode 8: I honestly thought the dancing, while well choreographed, was just....odd. An episode where I didn't want to kill Akiko every 3 minutes? It IS possible... Y'know, since there's a different letter used in the story title every 2 episodes, it's possible this could be a 52-episode series. Nice use of a romantic comedy cliché to solve the quarreling, Phillip. *thumbs up* |

What, no comments for episode 9? It was lackluster, admittedly. Quite a random way of getting W into the Sonozaki household. I suppose next episode he'll stumble upon their "secret" or at least a clue that they have a secret. What were they trying to do with Shotarou and Kirihiko anyways? |

Sorry, boss, I was feeling lazy XD @9 It was just like I hoped it would be. Akiko can't be stealthy and quiet. So instead of staying out of the radar she just hides behind her goofiness. Nobody would think that such a noisy maid would be a PI. The preview also shows her with a detective's outfit doing a "I know who the culprit is!" pose. The girl that cooks is cute. She was the lead in Onechanbara. I knew Kirihiko was talkative, but I didn't know he liked to brag about himself. Sota saying that he wasn't a stalker, just a fan was funny. That is exactly what a stalker would say. I don't think they'll dicover any secret. They'll probably just find that they are strange as you said, Susan. Too soon for them to discover something. Unless this series isn't a 52 eps one. But I doubt that. I think they just wanted to create some tension in the viewers since we know theyare enemies, but the characters don't know it. And maybe to get the narumi agency in the Snozaki's radar. I think that they might have transformed the boss in the skull dopant from ep zero, since it uses a ismilar hat and Shota says he killed the boss. They could have made him into a zombie dopant. The MOTW was quite random , but had a dangerous ability. W is very resourceful. Sonic staff helps a lot. I want to see how he1ll handle the dopant and Nazca. Why didn't Saeko join the battle? What does she know about W? Why she doesn't aswer Kirihiko's questions about him? Many questions. |

Episode 9: For some unknown reason, I totally died from laughter after Phillip's quiet nod and smile when Shotaro found out Akiko was going undercover. Just when I thought the MOTW couldn't get more unique....for a sec, I thought the Dopant was gonna be a living body of fat. I loved the bit where the letters attack the chef at the beginning. It's so ominous and a nice throwback to how much darker Kamen Rider used to be. I totally adored the piece of music used when Phillip talked to Shotaro about Begins Night. It just sounded awesome. Kirihiko's bragging about Wakana was also hilarious. Overall, a surprisingly good episode considering how much screentime Akiko got. |

@10 I don't know, everything shown is circumstantial. But Shota already noticed that there is something strange with the museum at least. Though I think that revealing W's identity to Nazca in this ep was precipitated. Looks like Saeko already had recognized him though. They explained why the father didn't try to kill W yet and also why Saeko didn't say anything about W. I liked the theatrics Aki did to discover who the villain was. Just like those detective movies where the culprit's identity is uncovered in front of everyone. It was a solution in Akiko style. There was some progress in her relationship with Shouta too. Phil was almost forgotten though. So W has a finisher for each memory combination. Cool. Terror's appearance wsa kinda unnecessary. It was the deus ex-machina that W needed to survive the attack. The DOpant attacking Nazca was also random. My enemy's enemy is my ally. |

After watching ep 10 i'm starting to wonder how would they develop it for the entire +-48 episodes. I wonder if W would have more than one group of enemy (other families maybe?). Joker Heat finisher is confusing, i don't know what did they do after they split. Did they flew in random direction and punch the enemy repeatedly? needs more explanation Wow we actually see a form of spousal abuse in children's program. So the sonozakis already knew their enemy and i think shota should have realize his enemy, right? Hard boiler can shoot, hope the mecha won't be one shot merchandize. |

Episode 10: Akiko's deduction skills suck. But hey, at least she grew as a character somewhat. Maybe she won't be as annoying from now on? No? Damn. Terror's got an intense ability. Awesome. I'm don't think Shotaro didn't put 2 and 2 together with the Sonozakis' true identity, per se. I think he just got too preoccupied with fighting and scolding Akiko to think much about it. I'm sure he'll figure it out soon, all of the clues are right in his face. So, we get another shot of Kirihiko's ass? Well, that's one way to bring in the female crowd, I suppose. :P |
